I live in missouri, and one of my friends has fallen on hard times, he has a car he needs to sell, and he never paid sales tax on it, if i bought this car and got it titled in my name, would i have to pay the sales tax he didnt pay+more? If possible can you provide any information online on how you know this to be true, because i dont have an extra 1200 dollars laying around.

I'm pretty sure forum rules don't allow anybody to actually answer this. My advice is cough up the $60 odd and see a lawyer.
