View Full Version : What does a hellbred look like to you?

I don't know, am not finding a good character portrait for such a race, what do you folks think?

Hmm, if I remember my fluff correctly, they've pretty much literally had their soul taken, chewed up by the worst the lower planes can offer and spat back out again for a "do-over" second chance in a new meat-suit. The "new meat-suit" bit is what's important. Whatever else they used to be, now they're a Hellbred.

Sooo, whatever you want them to look like, except with a permanent emo-goth thing going on with their eyes. Or at least what emo-goths want their eyes to look like...you know the whole "tortured soul" thing. 'cos, you know, a Hellbred really is. A tortured soul, that is.

Check out Tiefling and/or Vampire artwork; a lot of that might be appropriate. As might other Planetouched. If you want a more exotic looking Hellbred, maybe some Githzerai/Githyanki stuff might fit your image.

Yeah, that's not far off my mental image of them either, though I always imagined them with more hellish/demonic eyes.

Sorta like maybe the *shudder* 4th ed Revenant from Heroes of Shadow.

I can think of at least three ways to interpret that shudder without even stretching. What are you going for?

The description honestly sounds most like a 4e tiefling.

So, some variant of Hell Boy.
