Believing.

LoL, does anyone else have songs that will just not get out of there heads. Mine are

Don't stop Believing. Journey. Most notably the scene from Losers where the guy is going up the elevator.

Also, Carry on my wayward Son. Kansas. This one I keep thinking of that video Jensen Ackles did.

Wayward Son is excellent and gets stuck in my head frequently. Of late however, it's Code Monkey (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5W_wd9Qf0IE).

<. .> I don't really mind having it stuck in my head though, I like it.

All I know is when I saw the thread title "Don't stop," I immediately thought to myself "If the first word of the OP isn't 'believing' I will be very disappointed."

These days my theme song is "Help I'm Alive" by Metric. It speaks to my own anxiety disorder. Of course because I've seen Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, my imagination often replaces the chorus of "Beating like a hammer" with "Penis is the hammer". I need to have a little talk with my imagination.

A lot of songs tend to get caught in my brain.

Birdhouse in Your Soul by They Might Be Giants, Walking Spanish by Tom Waits, Leisureforce by Aesop Rock, War Pigs by Black Sabbath, and Release The Kraken by Clutch are the ones that get stuck in my head most often. The main offender, though, is (and has been for so very long) the Super Mario Bros. theme. I will just start humming it for absolutely no reason and can't seem to shake it loose after.

For a while I had violent pornography stuck in my head (the SOAD song) and I kept semi humming semi singing the chorus in public.... it was awkward. But ususally I get songs I have'nt listened to in a few years stuck in my head for no reason

I have had a few. One, funnily enough, was "Can't Get You Out of My Head."
Sometimes, it's a song I like, and then, and then it's basically a wetware iPod.
Tubthumper, also known as "I Get Knocked Down" is not bad.

Is this the real life?
Or is this just fantasy?

Yes it's old but still.

I'm rather glad that "beliiiieeeving" is the first thing that popped into my head when I read the title of the thread.. and that I was right on the mark with it when I actually read the rest of it

some that have been "16 tons".. a couple of already mentioned classics and, for some reason, the tune from the movie Rio Bravo, sung by Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson, "my rifle my pony and me"... I tend to whistle often, and that's one that just pops up as I do so.
I'm weird

Not really a "song", but the Pokemon BlueTM Battle Theme is stuck on my head for quite a few days now.

Why, because I am playing old school Pokemon with my GBC recently! :smallamused:

The Killers - Neon Tiger

Also, last job I had (at Hardee's, so no, I don't know why), I always went to work and ended up with "What I Got" by Sublime in my head.

Since I saw the latest one yesterday, I've had the theme from the new Star Trek movies stuck in my head.

For whatever reason though, any other song that gets stuck in my head I can usually get rid of by humming the Imperial March loudly enough. Thankfully, that one never seems to take its place.

Some good songs on here ^_^'

Now to get them out of my head.

Kudos for the Super Mario Theme. That one has been bouncing around my head like I'm a Goomba.

When it comes to music getting stuck in my head, my head is a Bag of Infinite Flypaper

The worst for getting in my head are the traditional earbugs -- Yellow Submarine, Kung Fu Fighting, the Airwolf theme, that sort of thing. I'm also personally bad for old cartoon themes (Jayce & the Wheeled Warriors, Galaxy Rangers, GR Alt Ending, and Saber Rider are probably the worst).

A recent one for me is "Evacuate the Dancefloor." When I first heard this about a month ago, it got stuck in there so bad I actually had trouble going to sleep for a couple of days from it.

Fight Test by The Flaming Lips a lot these days, often intersped with flashes of Cat Stevens' Father & Son. Sparky's Dream by Teenage Fanclub is too damn catchy, as is After the Moment by Craft Spells. Twisterella by Ride is a classic earworm for me. One of my favorite pop hooks of all time is Talk of the Town by The Pretenders, so that gets lodged in there a lot. Castle in the Sky by Classics of Love, Candy Perfume Girl by Madonna, The Ballad of El Goodo by Big Star, Don't Ask Me by Toy Love, Doralice by Stan Getz and Joao Gilberto.

Quite a few, in short.

Current earworm of the day is Maid of Orleans. I kind of get a new earworm everyday, sometimes song I did not listen to in years so I take forever to remember, which song it is. More often than not it is something by Queen or ABBA, though.
And though I can't stop the earworm song, I usually can transform every song into the Marseillaise - Not really an improvement but sometimes a needed change :D

Damn good song you're right. Oddly enough, I just got through listening to t when I saw this post.

As for my earworms...there's actually quite a few sadly. Lucky Strike by Maroon 5, Treasure you by Bruno Mars and The Call by BSB(Backstreet Boys) being the biggest offenders at the moment. Of course that'll change, as yesterday it was Californiacation by RHCP and several Band of Horses songs.
