Theoretical How-to: Chaining Undead Leadership

My Google-fu has failed me this morning so I come to the playground seeking answers to my dilemma.

What would be the best Undead Cohort for chaining Undead Leadership?

Is there a list of undead by Cha anywhere?

Are there Undead who could qualify for Thrallherd early enough to work that in as an option? (Yes I know Thrallherds can't have Leadership feats. Just weighing my options.)

Though helpful, those aren't exactly what I'm looking for.

I don't quite understand the Undead Leadership build in the first link. (I thought Necropolitans had to be level 3 before they could undergo their ritual safely?)

And the advice in the second link is more to do with using everything except Undead Leadership to command an army of undead.


For my purposes, the Undead Leadership chain IS the point. Not so much the higher number of undead.

I'm not sure which would be better yet, or if combining them all would work best or work at all...

Magic-Blooded (Spark) (Dragon 306 pg64) -- +2 Cha, -2 Wis
Lesser Planetouched Aasimar (PGtF 191) -- +2Cha, +2 Wis

Dread Blossom Swarm (MM3 pg45)
Symbiotic Creature (SS 131) -- These give you +3 feats as though you had 6HD but +0LA.

Psion (Telepath) (EPH 19) (would a Mind's Eye variant work better here?)
3x Improved Psicrystal (EPH 47) -- w/Leadership and a Cohort of higher level than you have. Does this go truly infinite or does it exhaust itself somewhere? Is there a way to reasonably limit instead of letting it go infinite?

Corpsecrafter feat chain (LM 25)
Necropolitan (LM 114)
Spellstitched (MM2 pg215) -- Because if it's already Necropolitan why not Spellstitched?

Some further questions occur...
Is the above a conglomerated abomination of awesome or does it all fall apart somewhere?

Would it be better served with Might Makes Right? (RoF 166) -- Uses Str instead of Cha for Leadership.

And would the Orc warlord chain of Leadership feats (Assemble the Horde in Dragon 346) be more useful to us than the +4 Cha from our current base creature?
