What ways or stuff is there to accomplish non-magical sleep ( versus just plain sleeping )? I was looking at complete mage and noticed peculiarity in wild soul prestige class.

Reaping Mauler grants it while grappling.

Pixie Sleep Arrows.

While that's technically non-magical, it's still based on sleep, so elves and what-not will still be immune.

Weird.

Weird.
:smallconfused: Indeed. I've never noticed that aspect before.

Sufficient nonlethal damage, if you count unconsciousness as sleep.

I'm sure there's various psionic powers that could do it, if you stretch your definition of nonmagical to include psionics.

An epic (DC increased by 50) Bluff check to Suggest that someone feels incredibly sleepy, and they should take a nap.

I'm sure there's also several monsters in the various manuals that have nonmagical methods of forcing you to take a snooze-most likely plants-but I don't feel like digging through all of them.:smalltongue:

So then drow sleep poison is the only way for elves to actually sleep long enough to dream and what not?

Elves can voluntarily sleep, a bit like a lich can voluntarily ignore his own immunity to Polymorph to cast Polymorph on himself.

... Oh. Oh! Ohhhhh. I get it. That's clever.

The reason that drow in particular have a sleep poison is so that they can use it against other drow, because sleep magic doesn't work on them!

I must admit that this had not previously occurred to me.
