Currently I'm playing a dungeon crasher. Well, he's fun, no doubt a really good team player. Knocking people backwards into oblivion and controlling the field really helps the other players get to come in and do what they like almost with out fear.

He did however almost die in our last session lol and only due to a DM fiat (he rules that you are not DEAD DEAD until the end of the person's turn before your next would start.), there fore I was able to get slapped with some healing belt charges.

Anyway, I'm always trying to be prepare, so if he does go down, and the party cannot get him rezzed, I'm ready to enter with another character.

I'm pretty into RPing, and I really don't want to be the leader because I am also a DM for this group in a different adventure setting, so they already see me as a leader and I want them to take that effort up. So, if I come back again I'd like to try out a buffer.

Which Class Path would you do?

Focused Specialist Transmuter or a Cleric who focuses on things to accent buffing?

The party

petal psion (party face, high diplomatic, also has a warbeast tiger she is dumping lots of money into with magic items)
elf rogue (might be leaving due to job)
Ghost Elf Wizard (generic)
Half-Giant Psychic Warrior

What I would like to incorporate and possible race choices:

- Team Player
- Most Likely Lawful Good, or Good in some fashion
- Extremely Selfless
- Flaws - Blind and Mute
- Races - Buomman interests me, as does an Anthropamorphic Bat or Desmundo Hunting bat (MM2 or MM3 i think)

I'd say cleric since you already got a wizard in the party.

True, we didn't really have much issue with stacking classes in our other sessions, but ability and spell wise still same choice?

Our current wizard (he's kinda new, I've tried to help him focus less on damage and more on control but he loves his damage spells)

One thing not to do as a cleric is focus on healing, not that good an idea.
You could also consider a druid for a character who would be able to fill a few roles as needed.

Never though of druid. i suppose that could be done.

I've never played a druid before though. Would a small sized druid be problem? (if I went the bat)

It wouldn't, size doesn't matter for spellcasting and for physical activities there is wildshape

I figured as much. I'll take a look at the druid as well then.
