Okay, so, I'm thinking of making a spiderman character, but I don't really know where to start, all I can think of is high dex, decent int and cha, which looks rougish. Ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions?

I think this can be achieved with liberal application of psionics. That can cover your wall walking (spider climb), spider sense(psionic divinations), and various web products (Entangling Ectoplasm). Combine it with Tashalatora since he is an unarmed combatant.

And wait, it gets even better, you can have psionic tights (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/items/universalItems.htm#psychoactiveSkins).

How many of his abilities did you want to try and emulate?
Gaining a Climb speed can be done with the Scout taking the Dungeon Specialist ACF from PHBII or sort of with a Phase Cloak meld from Magic of Incarnum. Personally I'd go with the Scout acf.
Spider Sense can be mimicked with Evasion, you can gain this by dipping Rogue, Monk, Ninja or by binding Impulse Boots to your Feet Chakra (MoI).
Webshooters is trickier. Wand Bracers with a Wand of Web is simple enough, but Web doesn't accurately depict Spiderman's webbing. It is close enough for the moment.

I could make other suggestions, but I'll wait for your response first.

I've actually been waiting for a reason to use tashalatora, I guessing ardent? also, not that I'll be using it all of the time, since this will most likely not be taking place in a city, but what about web swinging?

As far as which abilities I'm trying to emulate, I'm not really sure, I just know that I want the character to feel like spiderman, for lack of a better phrasing.

Have you considered using a swordsage with the dance of the spider stance for climbing and his various jumping manouvres as refluffed web swinging? With a combination of the shadow blade and weapon finesse feats, you can fight with only your dex stats, without ever needing strength. The wisdom to AC bonus is a very thematic spidey sense.

I have strong positive feelings for ToB, and the wand bracers of web are a good idea, since spiderman doesn't actually get web swinging as a superpower.

mayhaps the unarmed variant of the swordsage? also, what other disciplines? Tiger Claw I could see for the unarmed benefits..

If you go the Ardent Tashalatora, I think Fate, Freedom or Physical Power would all be decent mantles to consider.
Shadow Hand adds to his sneakiness and movement related stuff. Dance of the Spider must be stressed again.
Diamond Mind, specifically Hear the Air helps with Spider Sense.
Tiger Claw give a few extra things like jumping moves, such as Sudden Leap.

I don't think there is a much better way of replicating web swinging than the Rod of Ropes from complete scoundrel.

want to splash in some Master of Chains? if you are considering going into a martial profession instead of Magic/Psionics...

Tashalatora PsiWar might be better for you. More feats to play with to really get that unarmed combat strong, and you still get the powers you need (and can pick up others by using your bonus feats for Expanded Knowledge).

Plus, I've never liked Ardent. I've never understood the fluff, the Mantle mechanic is awkward, and some of how it works is pretty poorly-written IMO.

A combination of Unarmed Swordsage and Ardent can work well for this type of thematic build. Diamond Mind, Shadow Hand, Setting Sun, & Tiger Claw all have solid maneuvers and psionics does a great job with defensive buffs (Danger Sense comes to mind...).

For race look at the Lolth-Touched template from the 4th Monster Manual. Its designed for evil character but it comes to my mind for an augmented human with a connection to spiders.

I don't think there is a much better way of replicating web swinging than the Rod of Ropes from complete scoundrel.I am so going to have to research an invisible helicopter/moving anchor point spell the next time I play a spell caster. That and two custom rods of rope to work with the brachiation feat.

Thanks for all of the feedback guys. I'll start working on him, and I'll post the results when I'm done, or at least let you know if I run into any issues =)

What about Tashalatora psywar/unarmed swordsage/psionic jade phoenix mage? A bit of refluffing and the fact that dead superheroes come back all the fraggin' time means that you can have your Spidey and eat him, too. Or something.
