So I'm considering being Link for Halloween. I have most of the costume thought out already (long story about why so far in advance). But the one thing I can't figure out is how to wear a shield on my back. It'll be made of cardboard, and I'm not bothering with any equipment beyond the Master Sword, whichever shield I make, and an ocarina. My question is how do I easily attach it to my back AND easily take it off?

You need one of these. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guige)

I would probably build something that would be functionally akin to a wall hook, or maybe similar to a primitive belt buckle.

And depending on the weight of the shield, you could also use Velcro or magnets.

Carry a sword only and say that a Like Like ate your magical shield . . .

I hate those Like Likes to this day :smallfurious:

I'd go for Velcro myself, and use some plastic rather than card or to back card, just to stop it bending to much.

Also, I give it 1 hour before you want to punch someone for calling you Zelda.

Hmm... That could actually work.

Well my dorm is nerdy enough that AT LEAST half of us were at the Hobbit midnight premiere. I think I'll be fine
