After looking over a few race combinations I am really interested in the Symbiotic Template but I'm getting held up on some particulars.
First, I really like the Anthropomorphic Bat, I love the concept of possibly playing someone who is blind and using blindsense for everything and of course the stats are fantastic, but this plagues my idea on two fronts:
1. Monstrous Humanoids cannot be used with the Symbiotic Template
2. Its only small, which means I would need a Large creature to start with. I'm really not looking for any Level adjustments, but if I have to take one, I'd like to not have anything higher than +2 so I can buy it off really soon, since right now we are all ecl 5. (LA +1 means I could buy it off with zero issue)
Is there anyway to make this batdude tiny, and then also make it humanoid, vermin, plant, or animal?
If not, what other ways could I go about making a pretty solid melee cleric in terms of the host stats, and still get the great mental stats from somewhere else?
