Anyway, thank you for your positive thoughts/prayers: my brother had another surgery yesterday, and they repaired some of the major nerves and tendons in his arm. He should have near-full use of it again after he heals. He's still in intensive care right now, but he should be out by tomorrow, and home by Monday or Tuesday.

Yes, it will be a while before he can use it as well as he could. He'll have to go through a lot of physical therapy.
