Well there are some fun things that can return damage done to you, but I was wondering if there was a way to make yourself take more. :smalltongue:

Robilar's gambit from the PHB II is pretty sweet. You can choose for your opponents to have a +4 to attack and damage against you, except they provoke attacks of opportunity with every attack.

Karmic Strike too. Take -4 AC and when hit, swing back at the enemy.

Yup, but I was wondering if there are any good things that say give you ___ special things, and have the drawback of you taking double damage, or a curse or the like that does so, as a squishy caster , or a less rugged tank is more likely to fall first.

I can only think of the Paladin Spell "divine sacrifice" and the cleric spell "shield other".

Vicious weapon? +1 property for +2d6 damage to enemy, with 1d6 done to you.

Well divine sacrifice doesn't really increase the damage they do. And while I did consider shield other it doesn't really affect damage they do when they outright attack you.

It might be that there isn't such a mechanic, I jut figure if there is one someone's likely to know it. :smalltongue:

Well, there's the infinite loop trick the Omniscificer uses, but that's A) infinite, and B) requires at least 2 other people IIRC, each of whom also takes infinite damage.
