Quick Maneuvers Question

Is the maneuvers you can learn based on class level, or character level?

Edit: To give more details, a marshal who takes level in crusader, at a 2/5 would they be able to take 7th level stuff, or just 5th level stuff.

Yes. Specifically, it's determined by the levels of the relevant class added to half of the levels of irrelevant classes. Thus a something 6/warblade 2 would have access to 3rd level maneuvers.

Edit: For your example, you'd have access to 3rd level maneuvers, and in another crusader level you'd have access to 4th level maneuvers.

Don't worry about it, ToB is one of the worst laid out books WotC produced.
