What happens if... (3.5 Polymorph Question)

OK, so I have an Arcane Hierophant who is happily wandering around buffing his companion familiar through Companion Spellbond (so it's in melee and I am not).

What happens if someone casts Polymorph on the Companion Familiar to make it into a more capable combat form? Does it still count as my companion familiar for spell sharing etc.?

And the same question for Polymorph Any Object?

I believe so, yes. Your familiar is your familiar, regardless of what form it's currently in.

Polymorph is fine, but polymorph any object is just asking for headaches. Better to skip that step.
