I realise I'm ever so slightly biased with this, having a Paladin. To further hurt the cause, I came up with this late at night. Don't hurt me...too much.

Divine Grace is...your faith, the power of your god, granting you power. It's why you're so darn resistant to effects. So, let's have it do a little more.

Advanced Divine Grace:

At 8th level, you may channel your divine energies to aid you in a task, allowing you to use CHA instead of your natural statistic for your skill checks, in addition to the standard effect of Divine Grace.(So you make a Tumble check. Normally you use DEX. With this in effect, you may use CHA instead.) You may use this ability a number of times per day equal to 1+CHA modifier.

Superior Divine Grace
At 13th Level, you may add your Cha bonus directly to your AC as a Sacred bonus, in addition to all previous effects.

Transfer Grace
At 16th level, you may transfer any one of the Divine Grace effects to an ally by touch, for 1 round+your CHA modifier. You lose that specific effect for the duration. All effects use the target's CHA, rather than your own.

Flawed? Probably. But I had to get it out.

I like the Cha to AC think (divine or sacred bonus?). That's flavourful.

You might want to look at Jaerom_Darkwind's alternative Paladin class on the WOTC boards. It has loads of flavourful stuff to it, even if the power level of the progression (up to 60th level IIRC) is a bit daunting.

v-- Iron Mouse has mighty search-fu! *woo-pah!*

Added something new-Transfer Grace.

I'll probably put any ideas I have concerning the Paladin here. Otherwise, some are likely to get lost.
