Artificer the lesser

Need suggestions please, on using artificer as a compliment to another class, rather then the main thing. I like the infusion system , and the various tricks that can be used,but could care less about the crafting reserve, so prc's are more then welcome.

Try the Factotum into Chameleon. Or just play a Factotum, you'd be able to eventually swap in craft feats or what have you whenever you're ready to start crafting.
