I'm trying to do a warlock with 1 or 2 levels of psion or psywar dip. Limited to 1 multiclass. Php, complete books, and maybe a few other non-op classes I can convince the gm of. Trying to get psionic shot and meditation. Starting at level 1.

I can't figure out how to get meditation into the build before level 6 (feat) with a psion dip. Any suggestions? Psywar has some benefits, but a psion has more uses for a warlock blaster (entangling ecto, mindlink, charm, etc)

I'm ranged primarily. Mobility is key.

Appreciate any help

Pending on DM ruling:

One of the Complete's (Arcane I think) said prestige classes that add "+1 level of existing arcane spellcasting class" can be used to increase warlock "casting" or Psionic powers. If your DM is cool with it, you could use Cerebramancer (http://http://dndtools.eu/classes/cerebremancer/). You still can't get Meditation much sooner, but you gain a bit more versatility.

I played a similar build before, I used Warlock for buffs mostly and Psion for the power of the build. My DM also ruled EB would scale up with Cerebramancer. So this may or may not be helpful.

Charm won't matter much with just a 1 or 2 level dip, and while Entangling Ectoplasm scales better it's still fairly limited (plus there are invocations that give you similar benefits). Mindlink is nice, but there are other ways to get telepathy (if the "only one multiclass" rule doesn't include prestige classes, Mindbender is an option). I'd definitely go with the Psychic Warrior dip instead, since you seem to be going for a more feat-intensive build.

Note that, RAW, this doesn't work. Cerebremancer would be able to advance Warlock, but Warlock can't qualify for Cerebremancer, since it requires "cast X level spells" rather than "caster level X" or "cast this specific spell." Still might be worth asking your DM, though.

Is there a way to make it work with a wilder or wild talent feat?

If you just want Psionic Shot and Psionic Meditation then you can be a Psionic race and just take the feats. Or you can take Hidden Talent at level 1 and then take the feats.

You can't get Psionic Meditation into a build until you have 7 ranks in Concentration which means at least 4 HD and that means you can't do it without moving feats around until you get your feat at 6 HD.
