Class Features

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: You gain no new proficiencies with weapons, armor, or shields.

Tainted Shaping: Rather than using a key ability score for meldshaping, you use your corruption (and depravity) score. The Difficulty Class for saving throws against your soulmelds becomes 10 + number of points of essentia invested in the soulmeld + your corruption modifier. You may instead use your depravity modifier if you enter using the incarnate class, replacing wisdom. Your modifier for this purpose, however, cannot exceed your levels in corrupt shaper +1 for mild corruption, +2 for moderate corruption, or +3 for severe corruption. As an ability score, corruption and depravity are treated as 10 points higher. For instance, a corruption score of 3 is equal to an ability score of 13.
Your base daily allotment, rather than being based on your constitution score minus 10, is instead based on your corruption score. If the number of soulmelds permitted for your level is lower, then use that number instead.
You accumulate taint for shaping your soulmelds. Each time you shape a soulmeld, you must make a Fort save (DC 10 + essentia invested) or increase your corruption score by 1. If you do not unshape a meld, then you must repeat the roll every 24 hours the soulmeld is in place. All soulmelds you shape are treated as having the evil descriptor. If you use a soulmeld that possesses the necrocarnum descriptor, increase the DC by 5.

Corruption Threshold: Your corruption score can not increase past its maximum for severe taint, based on your constitution score. If something would put you over, you take 1 point of damage per hit die you have. This damage cannot be healed except by means that would otherwise reduce or eliminate corruption, such as remove disease, or when you have no essentia invested. This ability has no effect on your depravity.

Meldshaping: At each corrupt shaper level, you increase your meldshaper level, the number of soulmelds you can shape, the number of chakra binds you can create, and your essentia pool as if you gained a level in a meld shaping class to which you belonged prior to gaining the corrupt shaper level. You do not, however, gain any other abilities of that class, such as new tiers of chakra binds. If you had more than one meld shaping class before becoming a corrupt shaper, you must decide to which class to add the level for the purpose of determining your essentia pool, meldshaper level, and the number of soulmelds and chakra binds available.

Corrupting Touch: Upon reaching 3rd level, a corrupt shaper gains the ability to temporarily afflict foes with the symptoms of corruption. With a successful touch attack, the target must roll on a fortitude save (DC 10 + 1/2 meldshaper level + corruption threshold level [+1 for mild, +2 for moderate, or +3 for severe]) or be afflicted with a random symptom of mild corruption. This lasts for 1 minute per corrupt shaper level. If they fail the result by more than 5, they perminitely gain 1 point of corruption for every 5 points they failed it by.
At 6th level, this ability improves to also inflict a random symptom of moderate corruption, and at 9th a random symptom of severe corruption. At 12th level, a corrupt shaper can attempt to outright kill a touched target. They must succeed the fortitude save or die as if from an excessively high corruption score. If a creature succeeds on a save, and you have access to the moderate, severe, or death versions of this ability, then increase the save by 5. If they would have failed the increased save, afflict them with traits as if they failed one level lower. For example, if a 7th level corrupt shaper uses this ability, and their foe succeeds on the save by 4, they still receive a mild corruption trait. If a 12th level corrupt shaper uses this ability and their target success by 8, the target still is prone to receiving a moderate corruption trait. This save increase after corrupting touch's use does not trigger the increase of the target's corruption score.
If you use this ability on a creature immune to the effects of taint (such as an undead creature or a creature with the Evil subtype), you still expend a use of this ability but it deals no damage. This ability is only usable 1/day, and increases by 1 use at 6th, 9th, and 12th level. Tainted minions created through use of corrupting touch cannot attack the corrupt shaper that killed them.

Corrupt Spellshaping: Upon reaching 5th level, a corrupt shaper gains the ability to cast corrupt spells. In order to cast a corrupt spell, they must have a meldshaper level equal to twice the spell's level and invest essentia equal to the spell's level to prepare it. Once the spell has been cast, the essentia is no longer invested and free to be used. If the spell is not cast within 24 hours, the essentia is freed as if the spell had been cast. Preparing more spells to be cast requires more essentia to be invested. A corrupt shaper needs access to the spell, be it in a spell book or on a scroll, at the time of investment. DCs are calculated the same way as your soulmelds.

Corrupted Soul: Upon reaching 10th level, a corrupt shaper adds half of their charisma score to their corruption and depravity scores. This can bring them over their normal limit without penalty, but no further. In addition, the corrupt shaper may add their corruption modifier to their essentia pool.

Tainted Soulmelds
Any of these may be acquired by any meldshaper with a taint score. Using a tainted soulmeld increases one's corruption score in the same manner as using any soulmeld does for a corrupt shaper (above)

Something very preliminary that needs to be addressed is Corrupt Spellshaping.

It speaks of "spending essential", but essential is not spent, it is a fixed pool that doesn't grow or reduce on a daily basis and has no method of replenishing it. Essentia is simply allocated.

I suppose one method of dealing with problem that is to make the ability into an essential receptacle that gives access to Corrupt spells of a level equal to the amount of essential invested in it (and providing receptacle expanders to the ability).

Hmm, good point. I'll correct the language.

Edit: I've made the change now. You must invest essentia into each spell individually, and the invested essentia is freed upon the casting of the spell.

At this point in time, there are a couple of things I need:

Suggested Abilities: I feel it might be on the light side. Not looking for something major, just maybe something to help fill in some of the dead levels.

Changes/Fixes: Im not looking to make this class a perfect example of balance. But, I don't want its power to be unreasonable (in comparison with the tainted scholar at least). If it has an ability you think is too powerful, suggest a change. If you think something is missing an important detail, or is too weak, just say so. Im in a stage where I need feed back. I want this class to be powerful, playable, but really hurt if you abuse it.

Tainted Soulmelds: Someone who is a bit more familiar with soulmelds than I am to help me out here. Not asking for many, my minimum goal is atleaest 1 per chakra. Some, if not all, based upon creatures in HoH. If anyone has even an idea, just say so. In terms of theme, these soul melds are the integration of taint and incarnum and not the necessarily the application of necrocarnum (though one invoking tainted minions of course makes sense to be necrocarnum). Im thinking each could have a mechanic involving the corruption level (Mild, Moderate or Severe) of the meldshaper. Mechanics related to corrupt spells could also be applied perhaps, easy soulmeld being stronger than most but it also places a penalty on the user for as long as it is shaped and maybe even for a short time thereafter.

Other: If you have any other ideas, speak up. Could be items, creatures, so on.
