[3.5 or pathfinder]buckler and spell casting?

As i know, spellcasting works just like one handed weapon.

than i can cast a spell with somatic component, and i can get bonus ac from buckler.

is it correct?

That is correct. You can freely use a hand using a buckler to do other things, including casting. And you only lose the AC bonus for the round from a buckler if you wield a weapon with the same hand.

Mithril bucklers are a Wizard or Socerer's friend.
