To my shame I am abit fuzzy on the fustian pacts part of the game, but would it be possible to sell your soul for something, then go, get your soul back and potentially sell it again?

Like in that chuck Norris joke about him taking his soul back from satan

That's not really how selling your soul works; your soul is literally you, so it's essentially a form of 'credit'. It remains in your body until you die, in which case you go to the Lower Plane you sold it to.

And generally, any demon you try to approach will be able to tell you already sold your soul, and won't touch that with a ten-foot pole.

Is there no contract or some such held by whomever you sold it to?

Verbal agreements are legit in the commonwealth of the lower planes.

Yes, there will be 2 copies of any contract you make with a devil. One in your possession, the other in the possession of the devil. You'll need to destroy both in order to get out of the contract, or convince someone else to trade his soul for yours. Ofcourse, the devil would then decide which soul he'd prefer to own, and might reject the deal.

This is based on the Contract Devil from Pathfinder, but that's a good place to start.

The strange thing is that in the great wheel cosmology, if you'd sell your soul to a devil and then convince someone to exchange his soul for yours, you'd probably end up in the lower planes anyway.

(The average soul is worth 3 wishes)

Where did you find how much the average soul is worth? Is it adjusted for inflation?

The whole point is that you're making the ultimate bad decision for some petty mortal gain, so no.

Actually I think the average soul is worth 50gp based on the willing sacrifice parts of BoVD.

Souls go pretty cheep all things considered.

The official rules for selling your soul in 3.5 are in fiendish codex 2.

The contract is a physical contract drawn up by the purchasing devil (usually a harvester devil AKA Falxugon) after a negotion with the signator. The signator -must- sign in his own blood. The devil will only provide a copy if the signator insists. The copy is just a copy and its existence is unimportant.

If the signator gains any of the supernatual benefits available (potentially; bonus feats, ability score improvements, xp, etc) then reneging on the contract; either by destroying it or, in the case of a pact insidiuos, failing to execute their end of the contract; causes the benefit to be revoked.

For tangible benefits, a soul can be exchanged for as little as a few coppers (in the case of a poor, low-level character who is already either lawful or evil signing a pact certain) to a king's ransom (in the case of a well-to-do, higher level character who is CG).

The average human soul (belonging to a first level commoner) is worth no less than 50gp; the monetary weight of the 10xp it can be consumed to generate by anyone capable of trapping and using it. It can, however, be worth up to 3000gp; the monetary weight of the maximum amount of XP a devil could invest in such; or 60% of that character's current financial net-worth; whichever is greater (hint: most 1st level characters will never -see- 3000gp in one place unless they glance into an adventurer's coin-pouch.)
