How to make items Cheap

I'm in a campaign where i am an artificer and i have heard some of my friends mention a build called a cheapaficer were the artificer makes magic items on the cheap. i was wondering how that build worked because i cant find the build online at a first glance. if you guys could direct me to the books or a webpage of the build. Also could you tell me where i would find reducing costs on items by doing things such as making them class specific.
