Soulbound Weapon

I'm a little confused by the Psychic Warrior Soulbound Weapon ACF.


You can summon a specific weapon to your hand that is bound to your very soul.
Level: 1st and 2nd.
Replaces: You lose your 2nd-level bonus feat.
Benefit: You must choose a soulbound weapon at 1st level and you gain the Weapon Focus feat with this weapon. Also, the first power you learn must be call weaponry. You can summon your chosen soulbound weapon to your hand using call weaponry.

It seems like it means that at 1st level you gain Weapon Focus and a normal bonus feat. Is that right?

Correct - you only give up your 2nd-level bonus feat for the ACF, and in exchange you do get Weapon Focus for free (with your soulbound weapon) as well as getting to keep your normal 1st-level bonus feat.

However, note that (a) it forces you to take Call Weaponry as your 1st-level power known, which does take awhile to yield true dividends, and (b) you don't automatically get proficiency with your soulbound weapon. As a result, you may end up burning that feat anyway - on EWP to avoid penalties, or on Hidden Talent to get something more generally useful for your starting levels (like Vigor or Force Screen.)
