View Full Version : Looking for an obscure feat and rule

Hi folks,

Was wondering if you can help me out.

1) The feat I'm looking for is either online or from a Dragon Magazine. Definitely not 3-party.

What it does is every time you provoke an AoO, you can take a 5 foot step. If it takes you out of the opponent's threat range, you no longer provoke.

If you are still in range, you gain a +2 (dodge?) bonus to AC

It's not the Evasive Reflexes feat. I have this nagging feeling that it's a Psionic feat.

2) The rule I'm looking for is the one that allows Half-Elves/Half-Orc to be considered as Half-Human and get Human traits instead of Elf/Orc traits.

A bit different from the sidebar in Races of Destiny pg 150.

Many thanks in advance for any hints or help!

You may be thinking of one of these

Opportunistic Tactician [General, Fighter] (DR340 p87)
Pre-Reqs: Combat Reflexes, Dodge, Mobility
After making an Attack of Opportunity, you may take a bonus 5’ step.

Sidestep [General] (Mini p28)
Pre-Reqs: Dexterity 15, Dodge, Mobility, Tumble: 7 ranks
After making an Attack of Opportunity, you may take a bonus 5’ step.

Human Heritage [General] (RoD p152)

Thanks Nedz, but those aren't the ones I'm afraid...

The feat is specifically when you provoke an AoO from other opponents. Might also be a spell/psionic power now that I think of it.

I don't think the rule is the Human Heritage feat. It's sort of like a side bar rule thingy. Like that on page 150 of RoD.

Bugs the hell outta me that I can't find them now...

Thanks for reminding me about side step!

Now there's just the consider Half-Elf or Half-Orc as a Half-Human thing along with using human traits.

Hmm. There's a "Half-Human" on page 171 of the DMG. Nothing about half-orcs there, though.

Thanks! Yup, I believe that's the one I was thinking of.

Having re-read it now, might not work for my purpose if it requires DM fiat to do something similar to Half-Orcs...

Thanks again!
