We all know the monk's base effect. Skarn monk racial substitution at 5th allows the monk to keep stat bonus to ac as untyped and get insight bonus to ac equal to essentia invested in the class feature. This ac bonuses apply even in armor, wearing a shield. etc. versus stand monk ac bonus wording.

Since normal monk's belt is 13k. How much would skarn-styled ( not restricted to skarn. You gain the ac bonus of a skarn mok ) monk's belt cost as fair comparison?

If the intent is to allow a Skarn Monk to invest essentia in the class feature as a monk of 5 levels higher, I'd keep the price the same.

That IS the intent, right?

If it's giving a bonus to AC, it's priced as a bonus to AC even if it's modeled after something that should otherwise be cheaper.

Intent equals person gets getting monk ac bonus, but can still wear armor ( can wear, light, medium, use a shield, etc. ). Without taking level in swordsage for light.

Maybe 26 grand for a light armor version, 40 grand for all forms of armor? These prices aren't too bad as long as the character isn't a cleric.
