Swarm and rules?

Hi guys

I am new here but not to dnd, but I still cant remember or find the rules for a swarm, of bees or the like?

How doweresol e fighting a swarm of bees, flys or whatever?

I seem to have a MM without the Swarm subtype, because there os no mention of it anywhere in my version of the MM!

MMII does not have swarm and not sure but 3.0 MMI may not of officially had swarm in it

from the 3.0 to 3.5 update for MMI 'We’ve also added the swarm type which first appeared in the Fiend Folio.'
