I want to use the vitality point system from unearthed arcana, but the book is a little mum on the subject of creatures with critical immunity. The example they give of damage reduction and criticals involves a skeleton, so I'm confused as to what. The idea is. Does a crit immune creature work as normal? Or does crit immunity not work? Please help!

The example states that critical hits overcome DR, even if they would not otherwise do so; therefore, crit immunity does not prevent this. However, a skeleton has no wound points, so it cannot take damage to anything other than vitality points, and cannot take extra damage. In other words, for a creature that is immune to criticals but has DR, criticals only bypass DR.
