Okay I am confuzzled:

Everywhere it's stated (when I Google) that my brand new toy has a wallpaper size of 1080x1920. But if I create my own wallpapers that size I still have to mandatory crop them.

Does anyone know what size you should make them in photoshop to not have to crop them?

First things out of the way, are you sure they're talking about the same HTC One? There's a number of variants (http://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?sName=HTC+One).

Secondly, does your phone say you need to crop the wallpaper because it's too big, or because it's not got the right proportions?
If the latter, it may be because it expects a wider wallpaper so it can scroll it when you change homescreen, or rotate the image when you tilt the phone. I know that with my phone, which has a screen size of 720 x 1280, it expects a 1440 x 1280 image for a 'full' wallpaper.

It's the newest one, the one that was out in stores this month.

Never mind. It always forces you to crop, but you can resize the crop area to 100% of the original size. Because that's handy. Or something.:smallsigh:
