Q 1: If I use the Lingering Spell (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/metamagic-feats/lingering-spell-metamagic) metamagic feat with the Conjure Deadfall (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/c/conjure-deadfall) spell, does the giant block of spikes remain for a round, or does it vanish because of the last line in its description?
If you conjure the block so that it appears in midair, it immediately plummets downward onto all creatures below it. When you cast this spell, you select the size of the square area you wish it to affect. If you choose to create a deadfall over a single 5-foot square, the block deals 1d6 points of bludgeoning damage per caster level (maximum 15d6) to each creature in the area. A deadfall over a 10-foot square deals 1d6 points of bludgeoning damage per 2 caster levels (maximum 7d6), a deadfall over a 15-foot square deals 1d6 points of bludgeoning damage per 3 caster levels (maximum 5d6), and so on, to a maximum size of a 25-foot square. Only creatures that are on the outer edge of the area affected by a conjure deadfall spell can attempt Reflex saves to avoid the effect; creatures whose space does not touch the edge of the deadfall do not receive a save.

In order to deal damage, the conjured deadfall must start at least 10 feet above the tallest creature in the area to be affected. A conjured deadfall is as tall as it is wide, and the spell fails if you attempt to conjure a deadfall in an area already occupied by a creature or object (including the ceiling). Regardless, a deadfall conjured by this spell disappears as soon as it deals damage or strikes the ground.
Q 2: If so, how would this play out? A giant mass of metal, covered in spikes, just pins everyone below it?

(And on a side note, I love that increasing the size of the block decreases its damage... oh physics, you were nice while you lasted.)

Q 3: Can an instantaneous spell under the effects of the Lingering Spell (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/metamagic-feats/lingering-spell-metamagic) metamagic feat be modified with the Extend Spell (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/metamagic-feats/extend-spell-metamagic---final) metamagic feat, so that the lingering effects are visible for 2 rounds?

Q 4: If I extend the spell Corrosive Consumption (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/c/corrosive-consumption), how much damage should it do on the 4th - 6th rounds?

RAW, the creatures in the area suffer no new effects, but any who enter have a block appear over them and fall, dealing damage per the spell.

The duration is still instantaneous though, so no extend spell.

Well, this is less raw, but I would say 1d6 per CL, you have already covered the entire creature, so no more damage seems possible.

Ok, I see how you're getting that result mechanically, but it seems kinda ridiculous in actual gameplay.
I summon a giant cube. People in the center take damage. Then the cube becomes transparent. Anyone else enters, and a new cube falls, but doesn't hurt the people standing in the center.

I suppose if you flavored it as a bunch of smaller cubes, then you could have smaller 5x5 cubes fall on people who enter on later rounds.

I said raw, not sensical. RAW can make some very odd things happen.
