In my mind 3e was almost a perfect game.
Maybe somebody had finally made a version that I would feel felt complete:
I know of Pathfinder, and Fantasy craft.
Fantasy Craft was closer to what I wanted, but Its idea of "Cinematic" gameplay irks me. I don't want to be reminded Im playing a game with powers based off of encounters. If the reason I can't do something isn't "Because my character is tired" and is "Because it isn't cinematic" then I don't want to play that.
It was very close to scratching the itch of what I wanted, but not completely. Also its organization was sloppy. And the enforcement of monster stereotypes was annoying.
Anybody know off some other 3e variants and can you explain how they differ?
