Jokes aside, but what should a 4 legged paliden, do with its summon mount ability?

Trade it for Charging Smite, which is a bit more worth it if you'll be mounted on yourself (as a Centaur is) and can multiply the damage on a Spirited Charge with a Valorous Lance.

Or trade it for Underdark Knight, which gets you Ex Earth Glide at level 12. I think that's awesome.

Or try to get your DM to let you count as your own mount, and then destroy the system with Devoted Tracker and other Ubermount tactics to get extra HD.

There are no rules saying that a 4 legged person can't ride an mount. You can just get an mount as long as it's ride able and one size bigger than you.

Rule 0: If the DM says its stupid, it doesn't happen.

Personally, if the player asked to be able to summon a rider, I'd be cool with that. Failing that, there's nearly a dozen ACFs that change the mount to something else.

So the paladin summons a biped to ride him?
