This perhaps one of the most amusing comics ever. It starts off with good artwork and gets better and better. In fact much of the humor is derived between the contrast of the highly detailed artwork and the absurd humor.

To get a sample of what I mean by absurd humor, as well as the quality of the artwork currently, see this
http://drmcninja.com/page.php?pageNum=37&issue=4

the comic starts here however
http://drmcninja.com/archive.html, or to start with the first strip: http://drmcninja.com/mcdonalds.html

Indeed, its a great comic. Completely ridiculous, but very funny indeed.

I have to agree. It is one of the four webcomics I NEVER fail to check daily

(The others being Order of the Stick, Sluggy Freelance and Questionable Content).

I used to read this, then forgot about it. It's funny, in a rediculous way. Pretty good, I think.

Dr. McNinja is great. Very well drawn, and utterly, utterly absurd.

Always excellent.

I love Dr. McNinja. I love the humor and I love the artwork.

"Im not just a sick clown. Im a sick mime!"

"Its not a sword. Its a rocket launcher!"

This is the first comic besides 8-bit to make me ROFLMAO

"Im not just a sick clown. Im a sick mime!"

"Its not a sword. Its a rocket launcher!"

"Ninja's aren't supposed to have those..."

I read it now. Just started yesterday. I had no idea what I was missing...

Good old Doctor McNinja. Irishing ninjas and frozen shamrocks for the win!

Can't go wrong with ninjas who are also doctors.

Here's an exercise in futility: predict what he'll use for the next storyline!

Inuit. Discuss.

I used to only check OotS, VG cats, and Ctrl-Alt-Delete regularly.
Dr McNinja has been added to my favorites.

Grimfist

My favorite line would have to be:

*Two pirates with peg-legs glued to the front of thier heads hear Dr. McNinja talking, then try to flee in terror and run head-first into a door*

Dan: What was that about?
Dr. : Oh... I'm guessing they were crew on O'Shay's ship. Um... I cut off their faces. This probably made them scared of the sound of my voice.
Dan: You're the best doctor ever.

Why the heck did he surrender? Dude! Inverse Ninja Law! You'd have an easier time with all of them than with the fewer ninjas you fought the first time!

Logic
2007-01-29, 04:09 PM
I'm not entirely sure the inverse ninja law applies to the arrows they plan to fire.

Or, it could be just a ruse...

Nerd-o-rama
2007-01-29, 09:28 PM
Generally, Inverse Ninja Law only applies to hand-to-hand. Massive amounts of projectile weapons are only useless in the hands of Nazis and Imperial Stormtroopers. And those Qin troops from Hero.

Kalir
2007-01-29, 09:35 PM
Yeah, but they were using arrows as siege weapons. Serves them right.

I thought up the chainsaw nunchucks first!

A Mexican Zombie Ninja Pirate with Exploding Chainsaw Nunchucks!
I'll sue him...but then I would have to get up.

Quite a conundrum indeed.

I tend to think of it more as the mythical Sword of Totally Righteous, forged in the fires of Mt. Excellent, by the legendary dwarven swordsmith Beardy McAwesome.

I'd like to think Dr. McNinja probably enjoys Bill and Ted. Especially compared to Ask a Ninja, which probably doesn't get very much, you know, ninja-type stuff right at all.

Woah.

I just read through the entire archive (didnt take long).

I have to say, the jurassic park reference ("Clever girl") was my favorite line. Plus Im going to play a ninja who rides a velociraptor in my group's new DnD cam[aign this weekend.

'Tis indeed a most splendid webcomic. My own favourite recent dialogue, however, was the following:

"But look at that! He was able to take your grenade away that second I distracted you!"
"What? Oh. Dammit."
"He even went out and threw it in the ocean!"
"Mongo hates fish."

...although really only for the last line. All in all, the writer is indeed a true master of the absurd, and the comic well and truly one of my favourites. It almost makes up for the loss of dear, sweet, Narbonic...

Even though it's a guest comic, I really liked the one about Dan McNinja showing up for Career Day.

"So you all want to be ninjas, do you? You want to be kickin' rad little ninjas?! Well you can't! Do you know why? Because you suck! And do you know how I know this? My son told me! Him! Right there! He told me how much you all suuuuck! Big! Time! Maybe now you'll think twice before telling your old man what you want to be when you grow up. Let's see you doctor your way out of this, sonny jim! Ha haaa!"

...Dr. McNinja stole our joke!

I can't believe it! Dr. McNinja stole the Laser Wolf joke! My friends and I had been making a whole ridiculous ecosystem based off of that joke!

Darn you, McNinja! Darn you!

If Dr. McNinja really did fight Dr. O'Ninja, (Guest Comic) wouldn't it be redundant? I mean, they're both irish ninjas, and apparently both doctors, too.

Anyone who has "Thriller" parodies for nightmares has got to be one of the greatest characters of all time.

Of course, anyone who's a doctor and a ninja must be one of the greatest characters of all time, so it's not surprising.

Yet that's not all! He's an Irish-American ninja doctor who employs a gorilla instead of night janitors, mentors a raptor bandito orphan boy and has Thriller parodies for nightmares!

I'm beginning to suspect that they were premonitions, not nightmares.

Oh, and I'm still laughing from Ben Franklin II doing the thriller dance.

i wudnt put it so strongleh but yeh dis storelein has been farly week so far (esseptin sum awsum Ben Franklin-derived moments)

t3h fing is it feels leik 2 me that teh auffor is "tapdancing" around teh actual fight of Dr. McNinja vs Ninja-Zombies because he gnoes dat teh good doctor will haev no problems taking them out

as a result tho this hole plot feels rather drawn out hoepfulle we get sum kewl twists in teh fuchur

I dunno, something about zombies just doesn't do it for me. When Mcninja takes out a bunch of guys, my jaw hangs open in face of pure awesomeness. When he took out those zombies- yawn. It just seems so easy for him. Zombies are too slow to be able to get to him, or even hit him when he gets close. And the thriller nightmares aren't all that funny to me. Before my time I guess.
