-A friend of mine recently gave me a copy of the Van Canto version of The Bard's Song. And I got to thinking about what other kinds of songs (or ambiance) that would be good for bards, taverns, inns, etc.

-I am looking for either royalty free or music available on youtube.

-If you could please provide a link to the song, or specific version on youtube that is better quality. It could be for any game system not just a fantasy system.

And thanks in adavnce.

Well, if you're okay with shanty-type music, the musician Stuart Markus has a lot of good songs on YouTube. Even better, they're all old folk songs redone by him, so no royalties :) I especially would recommend "The Scotsman", "Mingulay boat song", "Soon may the wellerman come", and "All for me grog".

Accidentally bumbled into this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBATrLRWySg). And wouldn't you know, it even says "perfect for use in RPG's" in the description.

Every part of a Witcher soundtrack with the (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEnTlG1Jbx0) word (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWD4c2RsdMY) "Tavern" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9WGeUdFrUI) in its title. There are a few more that I didn't link because it's 4am and I'm tired. Maybe I'll get them later.

@BWR any music that has the feel of an old tavern, inn, or just ambient music for any RPG setting.

These songs are awesome and I will look into them over time, as these next few days are crazy with job searches and such.

Most of those songs are the kind you would sing in a pub. Heck, some of the Clancy's early concerts had the boys just 'sitting around in a pub, singing'. Staged of course, but to give the feel of authenticity.

This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FC6QofA2pls)is the stuff (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ui2oagX0ubM)I always used (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcZe9OpMDrA)for Ars Magica. The whole album is good and worth getting hold of. Most of it seems to be on Youtube.
There's always Greensleeves (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfO_vNI4Yzw&list=PL27BAB34BAFFD7B15)

This (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAohiRL1_nI)stuff isn't exactly authentic, but it gives the feel most people have thanks to various games and bad movies.
