It's the first time I've read about the official D&D soundtrack (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dungeons_%26_Dragons_(album)). Kind of stumbled upon this by accident. Anyone has heard it ? Is it any good.

My group uses it quite often, and it's very good, but be prepared to grab other music as well, simply because after a long time roleplaying, hearing the same music all the time gets kind of old.

I have it, but my gaming group prefers anime and game soundtracks such as Karas (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fDXI7YW_ig&list=PL7B904008E233B10F) or Guild Wars OST (Jeremy Seoule, also the composer for Skyrim).

The Midnight Syndicate stuff has a lot of dark themes, and I would probably classify it as working under a horror theme (like Ravenloft) than as a DnD motif of high adventure and epic fantasy. Generally, anything by Jeremy Seoule is going to work better for DnD than Midnight Syndicate.
