I think it would be useful to get them all linked in one place. The things I'm looking for are like easy-bake wizard, elven domain generalist (lvl9 spells at first level), horizon tripper, etc.

And there are probably others I don't know about

-----------------------------------------

PRACTICAL PLAY:
The Horizon Tripper (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80415)
Easy-bake wizard (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10940501&postcount=7)

THEORETICAL OP:
Elven generalist domain wizard (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10197586&postcount=9)
The dream of metal (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121334)
Simon the warblade and pervirtuoso, a la Crasical (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=15421622&postcount=12http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=15421622&postcount=12)

MISC:
Minmaxboards handbook index (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=399.0)
Almost comprehensive list, thanks Kelb_Panthera (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=258580)

Nothing specific to suggest, except that you might want to separate them into categories of some sort. The Horizon Tripper is designed to be realistically playable in casual games, for instance, while the elven domain generalist that starts with 9th-level spells is on a level of theoretical optimization that even Tippy considers cheesy. Someone who saw those two builds right next to each other might get altogether the wrong idea.

Obviously the Pervirtuoso and Simon the Warblade are the most important builds ever presented on GitP. :smalltongue:

Probably a good idea.

Tell me more? I did put quotes around "important".

Never mind, Crasical, upon further consideration I do not wish to know more.

Clearly you've forgotten about the Thogaturge (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=195049).

That build might be too important for my needs.

I'd swear this thread already exists.

I've Google'd to my limits. All I could find was the Minmaxboard's index. Nothing so much for the smaller posts on Giantitp

I'm looking for what can't be found via the handbook index.

Amazing. I could've sworn I saw this before. Thanks!

Fix your link tho.

edit

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to contain things like Horizon Tripper. Surely there's a lot more practical builds than what's on there and Handbook index?

Tell me more? I did put quotes around "important".

Simon the Warblade is a variant on the old 'Lord of the Dance' trick.

There's a spell called Undersong in Champions of Ruin which lets you substitute a Perform check for any Concentrate check you'd make in the next minute/caster level. A ring of Undersong costs only 8k gold. Buy one.

The Complete Warrior has a special Perform variant called Weapon Drill, where you show off your mastery of a weapon for a bit, adding half your BAB and getting an untyped +2 for each of a list of martial-type feats you might have. Take many ranks in it.

The Diamond Mind Maneuvers Action before Thought, Mind over Body, and Moment of Perfect Mind let you make Concentrate checks instead of Reflex, Fort, or Will saves.
Diamond, Ruby, and Sapphire Nightmare Blade, Insightful strike and Greater Insightful Strike all use Concentrate checks to attack things.
Take these.

Take an Adamantine weapon for flavor. You can now cut just about everything with SHEER MARTIAL DISCIPLINE. Mind control magic? Cut it. Poison? Cut it. Fireball? Cut it. Go wild. Parry lightning. If it allows a save, cut it.

The Pervirtuoso is based around the fact that the Virtuoso only requires ranks in Perform to enter, not actual bardic music, and contains the line "He can use any form of performance as part of this ability", and the Virtuoso performances do not restrict spellcasting.

Enter a sorcerer with max ranks in Perform: Sexual from the Book of Erotic Fantasy using Virtuoso's 9/10 casting advancement to his advantage and picking up Fascinate, 'Use Performance as Diplomacy', Auto-stabilize dying allies, Distract enemy spellcasters and make them fumble, make allies Rage like a barbarian, or effect the party with a mass True Seeing. The original build assumed that ALL creatures treat Perform:Sexual as a class skill, which turned out to be misinformation, but the core trick still works. There was a half-finished variant that snuck in a few levels of Alienist for that japanese-tentacle-monster flavor, too.

EDIT:
SEEN TOO LATE.

Spoiler tagged for the sake of your sanity, I guess.

Haha, thanks for the former. Not so much for the latter. I did want to see it, though. Googling only showed me the latter and I incorrectly inferred that the former was equally... off (based of boef, 3rd party material).

Also, this telling of Pervirtuoso makes it much more dignified tham Google's first suggestion

It was kind of a collaborative effort. I take no responsibility for anything involving the Draconic Familiar feat.

My problem with that is that it doesn't actually work under the RAW.

And yes, anything that lets you cast 9th level spells before 10th level is cheese by my standards.

This is why Tippy's games are hardcore on a level that most of us can barely imagine.

It's also why some of Tippy's suggestions are to be taken with a grain of salt. No offense, Tippy.:smalltongue:
