swordsage & blink dog

do you think a swordsage could keep up with a blink dog cohort, or would the blink have to much maneuverability .

Actually, many of the magical beasts with teleport effects stipulate that they can be trained to allow others riding them to accompany them as they move around. Since blink dogs are already social critters, if a character was small enough to ride on one, I bet one could make a good argument to a DM to allow it.

One could just order/ask the blink dog to slow down. Otherwise, I'd say you'd need more than just one of those teleport maneuvers or some other really nice form of movement to be as cool.

This in one of those few situations where ninja/monk suddenly seems appealing.:smallamused:

Obviously, the trick is to use Fusion to merge physically with the blink dog.

Ring of Blinking (Arms and Equipment Guide has a chapter on animal companions with text saying that a Ring of Blinking will allow a character to ride a Blink Dog) + Hellbreaker (Fiendish Codex II) prestige class will let a character tag along on a teleport.
