I'm building a character with an anthropomorphic animal from Savage Species. Except I only have a friend who owns it, so I had to settle for a pdf from wizards.com with the table. Do the animal HD count for skills and feats? And if so, what are class skills?

Class skills for an animal are whatever its block list it as having, and yes they count for skills and feats as indicated by type. Check your MM or the SRD for the features of animal HD, and the nature of the critter you are basing the template from.
