I personally enjoy pulling random children from the streets and taking them to my underwater lair where I then sacrifice them to Cthulhu.
Of course, if you're boring, there's always Kongregate, and MUDs are generally pretty fun. If that's not fun enough, go to tumblr. It's a world of magic.

Disclaimer: I do not actually sacrifice children to Cthulhu. This would be wrong. Everybody knows you sacrifice them to Hastur.
Disdisclaimer: I do not sacrifice children to Hastur.

MUDs, or multiuser dungeons, are like...online text RPGs, most having an express directive for actual roleplaying. I would recommend Aardwolf if you're new.

Also, if you wan to be all like one of the cool kids, you could find a place to volunteer, or perhaps find a new subject to study. I find transgenic modification to be interesting.

3) MUDs?

Precursors to MMORPGs. Most of them use Telnet, so you need a Telnet client to connect to them. Kind of dated as far as communication protocols go, but there you go.

Bored? Maybe you can try Interactive Fiction (Frotz is free on the iPhone, a couple of interpreters are available online), or you can just through Rock Paper Shotgun's 'free stuff' segment. There's usually some indie game or another that'll pique your interest.

9gag (http://9gag.com/). That's the solution to about 80% of my boredom. There's also Reddit, but the latter is more like an Internet community and discussion group, while I just want to look at funny pictures and cats.

My friend likes to collect pictures of girls and cars on his tumblr page. My other friend likes to collect landscapes there.

I have a crossword app for my phone that I use to kill time on the bus (it's pretty expensive though, $10, but I get a lot of use out of it).

There's always Angry Birds and its numerous copycats like Bunny Shoot.

Youtube. I personally like comedy channels like College Humor and I've developed something of a crush on Lindsey Stirling. However, this requires quite a bit of data, so best done at home/school and can't be done anywhere like Angry Birds, tumblr or 9gag.

This is my favorite site to go on when I'm bored. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/index.php)

Aside from that one, Reddit, Cracked, and..... well, I follow a lot of webcomics.

I find facebook is getting better and better at finding games I dont mind checking out. Even if I delete them from my list an hour later. Its still a handy way to kill time.

"Human beings make life so interesting. Do you know, that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to invent boredom." ~ Death

Go read some Pratchett.
That not being possible, I'll give you another vote for Kongregate.

Candy Box (http://candies.aniwey.net/) is an interesting little idle game with a surprising amount of stuff in it. Note that the game isn't really done until you've filled up your inventory, and not all options are available at the beginning.

If you want to watch some videos, here's a few that I recommend. Different topics, so some may not interest you.
Extra Credits (http://www.penny-arcade.com/patv/show/extra-credits)
Idea Channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/pbsideachannel?feature=watch)
Numberphile (http://www.youtube.com/user/numberphile?feature=watch)
TableTop (http://tabletop.geekandsundry.com/)

And finally, if you have some people to play games with (or don't mind games with random people), there is Board Game Online (http://www.boardgame-online.com/) and Pretend You're Xyzzy (http://pyz.socialgamer.net/game.jsp) (a Cards Against Humanity online game).

Ever try World of Tanks? It's free < . .> I've had a lot of fun with it myself. If you're not into tanks there's also Mechwarrior Online, also free; though that one can be quite demanding on your system depending on what you've got.

If you're meaning "Other than videogames" - one thing I often do is put on a documentary on Youtube and then listen to it while I draw. Silly as that sounds I find documentaries occupy the word-oriented part of my brain while leaving the art side free to work; keeps my wires from getting crossed while I work.

A good one I listened to recently is this one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaPSWJruTkw) - it's long, but it goes through the entire course of WWII in Europe from the beginning to the end. As an American I found the slight British tint to the documentary especially interesting.

That's me of course, I may be slightly weird. < . .> (I sometimes listen to documentaries while playing World of Tanks, so... yeah.)

There are a bunch of forum games on this site (such as the Fire and Ice heal/hurt over here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=15494999)). Down to the final five and Old Nan is about to die. You could go save her life or desecrate her corpse, whichever suits your fancy.

Further, you could start a PbP (Play by Post) DnD group - there are always people looking for a DM. That'll take a substantial amount of your time right there.

I could suggest taking a course on Coursera (https://www.coursera.org/). I've taken up one on Discrete Optimization, since it's related to my work and I'm enjoying it thoroughly.

My top two favorite time-killers from back in my MMO days (waiting on raid targets to spawn/camping things that suck ugh)

Dungeon Crawl (http://crawl.develz.org/wordpress/) (this game has caused more raid wipes on the server I played on than any other single factor)

Webcomics forever. As soon as you manage to finish one move directly onto the next in the list of suggestions often found to one side. Repeat ad infinitum until dead or forced to do something with your life.

I surf Wikipedia. :smalltongue: A couple days ago, I looked up pretty much every American tank from WWII onward, as well as some British and German tanks.

But if you want free flash games, I recommend the Armed With Wings series on Kongregate (Armed with Wings, 2, 3, Culmination (which takes place during 3), and the prequel game Red Moon that doesn't actually have "Armed with Wings" in the title). If you give up on the first one in frustration and just move on to the much easier second and onward, that's fine. I think it was like a year of not playing Armed With Wings between me playing it for the first time and me beating the level six boss (which actually gets fairly easy once you figure out that it's not actually a bossfight, it's a puzzle that is really lethal). There's also the two Sonny games on Armor Games (you can play on Kongregate, but Armor Games has an extra class option, at least in the second), nice turn-based strategy games. And then there's Kingdom Rush, the greatest of straight tower defense games. Kingdom Rush 2 has been announced, but doesn't have a release date.

And yeah, if you have a strong computer, World of Tanks.

Well, if I'm bored I go to 9-gag, TvTropes, or read a (e-)book. it really helps me pass the time. if I feel particularly adventurous I may start crafting stuff (like a cane from a poolcue or something like that, click my sig) or making mead. I find that creating something takes a lot of boredom away replacing it with that proud feeling of having created something as well as stimulate creativity starting a never ending circle.
