Just reading over the Kingdom Building (https://sites.google.com/site/pathfinderogc/gamemastering/kingdom-building?overridemobile=true) rules and wanted to poll the opinion of the Playground on the feasibility of a LP using them. Assuming we are polling a thread for decisions, rather than doing PbP, would it be possible? As far as I can see, it is based on the rules, but what level would we have to take decision making to with the thread participants while not making it PbP?
I'm thinking of avoiding true PbP for the fact that it can be difficult to keep the game going, due to general delays as well as players dropping. Would this just be the 'DM' playing by himself with spectators?
What resources would be needed? I would expect one of the hex board programs out there for a PbP, but for this would a map image uploaded by the DM/OP with detailed topographic descriptions be sufficient?
My thought is a game, similar to Dwarf Fortress or Minecraft, where the DM/OP simply generates a world from scratch and lets the board decide the fate of the starter kingdom, with no real plot, as it were, in play; similar to a single player runthrough of Civ.
