Hello ladies and gents! I know I've seen a mithril dragon somewhere, but I'm unable to find it again. I think it was probably in a dragon magazine, but I don't know which number.
After several Google searches I've come up empty handed, so I come to all of you asking for help. Any and all help would be appreciated - homebrew, a book, magazine, anything!

My googling says they're in kobold quarterly issue 4.

Kobold Quarterly? :smallconfused: It's not a magazine I've heard of, but I'll look for it now. Thank you

Dragons of Faerun might have them. I know it has a few extra ones, like a Steel Dragon, IIRC.

It does not, DoF has Steel, Mist and Mercury, for the matter I recently went over the 1st party sources of dragons... and I didn't found a Mithral one.

Steel's cool, but it's a shame there isn't a Mithril :smallsigh: That's my luck though.

I also can't get my hands on a Kobold Quarterly, no money to purchase the PDF and the local hobby shop doesn't have any..

Steel dragon is one of the best dragons anyways.

Best is good :smallamused:
Is there anything I could do to convert it to a mithril dragon other than just a simple name change?

heh, since im a brewer, what specifically are you looking for? dragon, true dragon age catagories, quick, strong, any specific breath weapon? I might be able to add it to the collection (unless you need it soon)

Mithril dragons were in Practical Planetology, a Spelljammer book, way back in 2E. They never got a 3E update. They are in 4E's book of dragons though.

I don't need it for a couple of months (one of the few people in the party I play with frequently is out of state, that leaves one person).
I'm wanting it to be rather strong, very wise, and quite old. True dragon sounds good, age and such included.
As for breath, I have no clue.

Okay, they had to have done that on purpose :smalltongue:

Possibly the Immortal's Handbook Bestiary?

No mithril dragon in it, the only ones I saw in it were the platinum, timber, void, polychromatic, cometary, nexus, and titanium.

See Dungeon Magazine #173.

WOTC spelled it "Mithral Dragon".

That's about all I could find online from WOTC. Plus a reference to Draconomicon 2, which is, I think, 4th Edition.

YAY!! This one I can actually get my hands on... sorta. The hobby shop owner has quite a few of the magazines. He won't sell them, but he'll scan the pages for people at a pretty cheap price

Huh. Could have sworn there were Mithral and Adamantine dragons in there. Must've been thinking of golems from the ELH.

Oooh, golem :smallamused: Thanks to you, I now have a guard idea for the dwarven cities gates.
