Any creature struck by this ray changes to the opposite gender (Male becomes female, Female becomes male) This has no effect on creatures without gender. Using quick thinking and good timing, you summon a distracting outsider behind your opponent, first drawing your opponent's attention to the creature by announcing its presence. This outsider takes the form of a red duck with black horns; this often results in it being referred to as a "Demonic Duck," despite its Chaotic Neutral alignment.

Opponents within 30ft of the duck must make a Will Save or be fascinated (as the bard's ability) as long as the duck remains. If all of your opponents are fascinated, combat is considered over. When the duck returns to its home dimension, initiative must be rolled again while everyone regains their composure from the distraction.

I'll probably add more later as I think of them.

1.) I assume TTTB is a prereq for the Belt of Gender Swapping?

2.) Being as it's in fact a demonic duck, wouldn't it be Conjuration [Evil] - though the demon duck in EGS is more CN than anything - so perhaps make that clear in the spell description?

Actualy he's not demonic. People assume that he is because of how he looks. (http://=http://www.egscomics.com/d/20051125.html%5DActualy%20he%27s%20not%20demonic.% 20People%20assume%20that%20he%20is%20because%20of% 20how%20he%20looks.)

That's kinda what I meant, actually - but unless you say so in the spell description, people are going to assume the DD is in fact Demonic (i.e. Fiendish, Half-Fiend, etc.).

I suggest:

Yeah! That works! Thanks.

No problem - the DD is probably my favorite EGS character anyway :)

Doesn't the gender transformation effect last only a month?

(becomes aware of excessive nerdiness)

"Hey is that a demonic duck of some sort?"

*Run*

...ahh...so wouldn't summoning a demonic duck, that is CN, be a Conjuration (summoning) [Chaos] effect?

...but yeah... I'd do that just to hear the opponent say "yeah, well he's got a point. It dose seem to be some sort of demonic duck..."

Fascination may be a tad drastic. How about just making them lose their next action (and be considered flat-footed) or something? Also, shouldn't it be language-dependant? You can't exactly distract someone by shouting "Hey, is that a Demonic Duck of some sort?" if they don't know what you're saying.

Also, assuming the transformation spell is based off FV5, the duration should be "one month" instead of Permanent.

I'd also suggest making the Dewitchery Diamond, but the potential for abuse is horrendous. "Uh, I cast Shapechange on myself and touch the diamond." Okay, granted, the clone will be an NPC and probably go insane (unless given special magical aid), but still, you know they'll find a way to abuse it.

The Dewitchery Diamond is definately an artifact.

Oh, and to abuse it, you simply use it on things that are already NPC's, more or less, that are in some way defined as being utterly loyal.

Well, it's not based on V5 it's based on the Bestow Curse spell and V1. designed specificly to be a ranged touch spell with a more limiting effect. If it was only for a limited time it would be a much lower level spell.

The demonic duck is a fascinate effect because its just that distracting. and is mainly used for running away;.

As for a dewitchery diamond artifact? I think that if anyone found it, no one would be safe from the munchkins.

Why is this a fourth level spell? Gender does nothing to a characters abilities in DnD, this spell would be just for fun and humiliating oponents.

Technically it's better than alter self, since the physical changes are actually functional - why not a 3rd level, though?

Mewtarthio

If it's based off FV1, it only lasts a day. I'd say make it a cantrip; possibly first level at most. Technically, it is more powerful than Alter Self in the most literal sense, but mechanically Alter Self is better since you get more options (someone tagged with FV1 is still quite recognizable (http://www.egscomics.com/d/20061101.html)).

What do you suppose the LA of a Seyunolu would be (Lesser, Greater, and Greater + Lespuko)?

MandibleBones

True enough - I agree, though I still suggest 1st level.

As for your second question - since I can't access the comic from here (I'm at work), what special qualities do they have? (And I assume you'd make them a template...)

Okay, it's been a while, but I think I've got a new spell.

Tamashii Gekido
Evocation (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicOverview/spellDescriptions.htm#conjuration) (Force)
Level (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicOverview/spellDescriptions.htm#level): Sor/Wiz 3 (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spellLists/sorcererWizardSpells.htm#thirdLevelSorcererWizardS pells)
Casting Time (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicOverview/spellDescriptions.htm#castingTime): 1 standard action (Does not provoke AoO) (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/actionsInCombat.htm#standardActions)
Components (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicOverview/spellDescriptions.htm#components): V, S
Effect (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicOverview/spellDescriptions.htm#effect): 10ft burst centered on you
Saving Throw (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicOverview/spellDescriptions.htm#savingThrow): Reflex Half
Spell Resistance (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicOverview/spellDescriptions.htm#spellResistance): No

A quick spell devised for use when a spellcaster is surrounded. By shouting the name of this spell at the top of his lungs, the caster releases stored up energy to push back his foes. All foes within the area of effect must take a reflex save or take 1d4 force damage/caster level (max 10d4) and pushes the opponent back 10ft in relation to the caster. A successful reflex save deals half damage and pushes the character back 5ft.

---------------------
and while the effects of TTTB is why it is, is because it's based off of the magics for bestow curse, except that it's at a range. It is a weaker curse, but a curse none the less and should be powered as such. It takes just as much magical energy to curse someone with a gender as it does to their ability scores.

Also, I am working on the mechanics of a fairy doll spell. It's still rough, but it could work.

Whenever you have a spell that has knockback, you should probably have damage in case of a stopped knockback or a collision (getting blown into a wall, then another enemy getting blown on top of them, that sort of thing).
