I'm making an epic level character for a campaign and I decided that I wanted to have a true resurrection magic item just in case he dies. So I was curious if I could have a magic item that casts true resurrection whenever he dies implanted into his body and then take up his body slot? As far as I'm aware, it should be theoretically possible, especially given the healing capabilities of high level clerics. I understand that final say goes to the DM but I want to know if it would be possible given the rules of the 3.5 universe. Any help is of course appreciated.

Intelligent Items can have True Resurrection once only as their Dedicated Purpose power. That's a good place to start for comparison.

Given that certain items can cast True Resurrection, I would think it would be possible, and I would allow it as a DM, but YMMV.
