Hey there all!
I was wondering if there is ANY way to get weapon finesse or an equivalent effect on unarmed attacks? It seems logical to me that if a weapon is an extension of the body and IT can be used with such flair, the body itself can too. The rules seem to disagree with me, though.

Any help appreciated.

Uhh... Yeah, take Weapon Finesse. Unarmed strikes are a light weapon, and so can be used with Weapon Finesse.

Actually, I don't know the rulling or source out of the top of my head, will look that up for you but I'm pretty sure that Unarmed Attacks are considered light weapons and therefor can be used with Weapon Finesse. You don't need a special way to do it

EDIT: Ninja'd.

wow, I'm a doof, it even says explicitly in WF special. Uhm.... well, not to let it be a complete waste of a topic, any chance of getting DEX or, alternatively, CHA to unarmed strike damage instead of STR? :P

An Amulet of Mighty Fists with the Agile enchantment should work for Dex. Not sure if there's a way to get Cha, though.

Yeah, you can get the Agile (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/magic-weapons/magic-weapon-special-abilities/agile) weapon property on an Amulet of Mighty Fists (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/a-b/amulet-of-mighty-fists). (Note the altered prices)

There's also a few ways from 3.5. Look at this thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125732) for a complete list.

I have an interesting question in regards to weapon finesse and unarmed strikes.

If I have a spell like Chill Touch or something along those means, would weapon finesse give me more attempts to touch something?

If I have a spell like Chill Touch or something along those means, would weapon finesse give me more attempts to touch something? No, Weapon Finesse would allow you to use your Dex mod with the touch attack instead of your Str mod, but it wouldn't grant you extra touches.

You'd have the same number of attempts whether you had WF or not (i.e. unlimited, so long as you didn't cast anything else or voluntarily discharged the spell - see "Holding the Charge" under "Touch Spells in Combat" (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat#TOC-Cast-a-Spell) for more information.) However, WF would increase your chances by letting you add your Dex mod to the touch attack roll, which for most primary spellcasters is likely to be higher than their strength.

I have a 5 BAB with a +4 mod to dex, would that give me a 9/3 to touch?

I have a 5 BAB with a +4 mod to dex, would that give me a 9/3 to touch? No. You don't get iterative attacks until BAB 6. BAB +5 and +4 Dex mod would give you +9 to your single attack, if you have Weapon Finesse (or are making a ranged attack).

Ok, that's why I wanted to double check, that's kind of a big deal.
