As tittle sais..

1) Assume a weapon that is 1 handed, Small, and in its description doesn't say it is light. Is it?
examples: bladed gauntlet
2) Assume a Medium Character holding a Bastard sword made for small characters in 1 hand (with or without Ex.Proff. Feat). Is it considered light for him?

The purpose of my question is to categorize some weapons of 3E books that does not use the term "light" but the term "Small weapon".

thnx

Those books are outdated 3.0 material. Most such books have an update to make them 3.5-compatible, and in general Small weapons (such as the Bladed Gauntlets) were updated to be Light weapons.

This is handled in the SRD:
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/weapons.htm

The measure of how much effort it takes to use a weapon (whether the weapon is designated as a light, one-handed, or two-handed weapon for a particular wielder) is altered by one step for each size category of difference between the wielder’s size and the size of the creature for which the weapon was designed.

So if it's 1 handed for a medium creature, then it's a light weapon for a small creature

When is a weapon light? When it's glowing of course!
*Bdm-tsh!*

Seriously though, according to 3.0 rules if a weapon that is considered one-handed for a small-sized creature would be considered light for a medium-sized one.
In the case of a bastard sword in particular a gnome's bastard sword would probably be considered one-handed for a human, even if he did have the feat to use bastard swords one-handed. The reason for this is because a gnome-sized bastard sword does 1 D8 points of damage, same as a medium-sized longsword. If the exotic weapon proficiency did allow a small-sized bastard sword to be considered light for a medium-sized character, they could have a weapon that would always be superior to a medium-sized longsword.
