Canoness Galicia,

Thank you for your message. I agree that Novitiate de Davigny's talents could be better used in the service of the Emperor as an Acolyte of the Ordo Hereticus. There are times when heresy and corruption must be analyzed and diagnosed and times when it must be excised immediately lest the rest of the Imperium suffer. I am certain her skills will be a tremendous asset to her fellow Acolytes and her faith a balm to their troubled souls.

Warmest Regards,

Inquisitor-Lord Avernus Velfane
=I= Ordo Hereticus =I=

Three days. It has been three days since your life changed forever. Whether by chance or by fate, you have been drafted into the service of the Ordo Hereticus of the Holy Inquisition. You were transported from wherever you once were to this place, a merchant space station. The ancient hull creaks constantly and a barren-looking planet below can be seen through its glazed windows.

You are in a room with five others. All were transported separately to the old station and wordlessly escorted to this room, rusted bare metal contrasted with worn but comfortably-soft furniture. You were told (or "requested" without it being a request at all) to serve the Inquisition but have not received details of your first assignment yet...

Felicia keeps to a careful quiet, not at all keen to find herself serving the Inquisition and still secretly worried that this is all an interrogation technique of some sort. Out of automatic reaction, her eyes check every visible door and window but she doesn't seriously consider an attempt to flee.

Every Imperial citizen knows the reach of the Inquisition, no matter how high or how low they might be.

Her clothes are baggy and tatty around her thin frame and plain coloured hair adorns her head in a short cropped style, a combination that gives her a slightly boyish air.

For the moment, she's a short distance from the others, brown eyes taking their appearance in, one by one.

Even though she was in her full sororitas armour, with her lasgun flung over her shoulder, Kloe still looked a lot more like a nice girl coming to the city from a farm than a member of the military arm of the Emperor’s Creed. She was beaming with excitement as she introduced herself to the party:

“Hi guys! My name is Kloe Castel de Davigny, but call me Kloe, otherwise we’re gonna lose so much time, right? I’m 17, and I’ve lived with Pronatus Sisters all my life, because I’m an orphan, but I don’t let it make me sad, because that would be ungrateful to the Emperor who made sure that my mother lived long enough to have me. I tend to ramble a little bit, as you might have gathered. What else would you need to know about me? I’ve been told I’m a good shot with a lasgun, I like to meet new people and experience new things, so this is assignment is sort of my dream come true. And, oh yeah, I’m a Virgo!”

Dolivar

"Old habits die hard"

When you're an Arbite, it meant the constant surveillance of your environs and the scrutiny of the Imperial citizenry at large. Dolivar stands with his arms in his jacket pockets while leaning casually against the wall by the entrance. Dressed in his form fitting black and gray Arbite uniform underneath his jacket, he had stood nearly motionless and in complete silence since entering the room.

It's hard to look at the others in the room without trying to do what has been drilled into him over the past decade in the Schola; that is to say to perform a cursory threat analysis, interview these individuals to ascertain their intentions and most likely, for maybe one or two of them, the detention and possible execution shortly after. Several of them even carried arms in this Inquisition facility without a care for concealment, which made at least a half dozen bells ring in his head.

Well...it's not like they took ol'Molly from me either...

Dolivar thinks this to himself as he subconsciously touches the heavy Carnodon hand cannon holstered by his left leg, hidden under his flak jacket. With a nonchalant roll of his neck and shoulders, as if stretching after having stood leaning against the wall by the entrance for the past half hour, he takes another cursory look at those around him while they continue to wait for the Inquisitor's arrival.

Every part of Nicodemus Vezirov still ached. He'd been through "questioning" for what seemed like forever, and was grateful to still be alive, even though he wasn't sure why. He was still wearing the bulky flak jacket he'd worn for the party (no blood on it, he noticed - lucky him), with his pair of Armsman-10s never too far away - one on his hip so he could feel it, another under his shabby hiver long coat. He held his head, attempting to ward off a headache as the girl kept...on...talking...

"No, I dare say we know all that can be known about you - at least among polite company. On the bright side, this apparently isn't some kind of penance-minded suicide mission kind of a thing, like I'd have thought. That's good. I guess..."

His hand subconsciously ran a finger along the maker's mark of the gun at his hip, half to make sure the gun was still there, half to remind himself that this wasn't a dream.

Lise Margulis (http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/yy26/ulgo/blhhakhd.jpg)

Oh hey, the Sororitas is cute. A bit young for you, Lise, but any Gellar Field in a warpstorm, right? Then again, there's two other perfectly suitable females, both of which seem a tad more mature. Quiet one seems a little sketchy, though. Like a cornered rat, without half as much body hair.

"I'm Lise Margulis, of the Bold Advance Explorator Fleet, pleased to meet you all. I've no idea what a Virgo is, but it doesn't sound like something typically divulged on a first date."

Not knowing what to expect, the tech-priest opted for his flak cloak for first impressions, as opposed to the standard crimson tech-priest garb. Less formal, doesn't immediately divulge his office, and if we're being honest and there's no Magos in earshot, it looks kinda cooler than the red one, too.

Kloe receives something of a baffled stare from Felicia, and there's suddenly a little more space between the two of them. She does speak up however, volunteering her name.

"Felicia. But ya all know that, right?"

Dolivar receives a wary and suspicious look, and a puzzled one is turned on Lise. "Ya don't look like any cogboy I've heard 'bout."

Dolivar

If it weren't for the augments on the man or for his bold declaration of being a part of the Mechanicus' numerous Exploratory Fleets, you would never have had guessed that he was affiliated with them. Where's crimson red robe and the cog pendant? And that way of speech? A bit off putting, but that's even more of a reason to indicate his deviance from the typical no nonsense Tech Priest approach. This was someone he should keep his eye open for. Sure the Adepts of Mars were out of his jurisdiction, but then the proctors had always insisted on being weary of "the corruption from within and without"...what in the kiffing warp has he gotten into this time?

Dolivar couldn't help but to reach up with his hand to rub his temples in an urge to resist outright face palming his forehead. Though unsure as to what plans the Inquisitor has in store for them, as a rule of thumb Inquisitorial business generally has deadly written all over it. The last thing they need is a greenhorn on the team...Dolivar can still see the faces of Verias and Branca, two of his fellow Arbite trainees that were torn asunder by feral cultists in the Red Vaults, at times in his nightmares.

Looking the hive gangster sternly in the eyes, Dolivar in a slow and somber tone, finally decides to introduce himself.

"Dolivar Moraius, Adeptus Arbites."

Justinia adjusts her thin spectacles and raises an eyebrow at the talkative Sister. By the Emperor, she must have been a nightmare for her fellows. At least she didn't get them all killed, hmm? She pushes the thought out of her mind as quickly as possible and begins stroking her Sororitas pendant for support.

The man with the pistols and shabby coat was right, though. They wouldn't assign an Arbiter and a tech-priest in good standing to a suicide mission. The thought that such assignments did occur made her uncomfortable but... surely they were only for the most important causes?

"Justinia Leopold, Order Pronatus. Charmed, I'm sure".

Kloe was trying to process all the information she was learning about her new friends, the mechanicus guy seemed cool and all, even though she was surprised anyone would not know what a Virgo is (learning the sign of a person is such an easy way to learn a lot about said person), when she realized that not only there was another sister in the group (that was pretty obvious) but she was a Pronatus, just like her:

"Wow, Justinia. That's like so cool! I was really worried about not fitting in, but now that I know I have a fellow Pronatus sister to help me, I'm not worried anymore. Well, I say I'm a Pronatus, but the truth is, I never did any Pronatus work, because I was never really that interested in all that cataloguing work, I'm more a people person I think. But I'm like, so respectul of the sisters."

Felicia's eyes dart between Dolivar and Nicodemus, reading the likely conflict there and mulling over her own distrust of the Arbite, any Arbite really. However, she lacked any real desire to get caught up in the confrontation between them and returned her attention to the two sisters and the tech priest.

"Do ya know why we've all been penned up here? What do they even mean with serving?"

His eyes hover over Justinia for a split second before resuming his observation of the others in the room. From what he's seen and of what little she had said, it seems that they will have some competence from her one source at the very least. Just before speaking, Dolivar swears in his mind's eye that he had seen her eyes roll just as she adjusted her spectacles.

Continuing on, he catches the eyes of Felicia as she looks over between himself and the hiver, making him catch his breath for but a moment. For that very second, a part of his mind had the impression that he had glanced over her completely while scanning the room earlier. Recovering his senses and taking a good look at her, Dolivar replies to her question in a somewhat matter-of-fact like tone.

"Inquisitorial work, no matter how mundane it is to their daily operations, is of the utmost importance to the continuation of the Imperium. Whatever we end up being tasked with, I'm sure that our abilities will be tested to their limits. Just prepare yourselves and hope that, for whatever it is that we will be confronting, none of us are to be found wanting by the Inquisition. Last I heard, they're not the most forgiving of people."

"Ya don't look like any cogboy I've heard 'bout."

Lise grins. Oh shoot, now you've gone and given him an excuse to talk about his work.

"Well yes, that's because I'm a Factor, and Factors don't really do the whole hissing respirator grille thing. The fleet has to deal with all sorts of outsiders in its travels, some who don't always respond well to conventional methods, or stumble over themselves in fright when exposed to our kind's blessed circuitry. Shamefully primitive savages keeping guard over millennium-old ruins, promethium suppliers with exorbitant rates, a Hive governor who's mistakenly put a hab block over a potential dig site...for those purposes, where big guns and the threat of big guns might not work, the fleet has us, to try to talk things out."

Usually it doesn't work, though. Heck, even when it does, often someone finds an excuse to bring out the big guns anyways.

Thin shoulders twitch in a shrug under baggy clothes after Dolivar finishes. "I once stole a.. reckon it was called an apple, right? Really rare food, tasted decent too." Her mouth forms a slightly teasing smile, unafraid of the risk of getting into trouble for that, given recent events.

"Maybe stealing stuff and sneaking around is why they want me? Can't think of much else, unless it's to keep ya lot from getting lost in the hives or sumthing."

She gives Lise a longer look, eyes blinking as she works in taking that in. "So yer a factor and they do all the talking? Rite. Just one thing, yeah?

Dolivar

A long second passes between Felicia's comment and Dolivar's riposte. Looking directly at the young woman, a grin forms on his face as he begins jovially.

"And if that is the case, then I am sure that your extraordinary abilities in pilfering small goods and disappearing back into the warrens of your hive will be in high, high demand."

Closing his eyes for a moment and taking a deep breath, the exaggerated smile fades as he continues.

"I'm not sure as to what you think an Arbite does, but know now that we are not your regular hive enforcer, or whatever wherever place you came from decided to call your policing forces. I do not care if you are a kleptomaniac with an over active need to steal, filch, defraud or misappropriate items from just about everyone that you meet. As long as you keep those hands away from my belongings and that your extracurricular activities do not jeopardize whatever objectives we're after, you and I should get along just shiny.

...And while we're taking a tangent on the subjects of "not your hive anymore", a fleet is a group of ships travelling together in the void.""

Dolivar finishes that last part off by giving a nod over to the Tech Priest.

By All that is Holy...when is the frakking Inquisitor going to arrive...

Nic followed the odd exchange between the hive urchin and the Arbite with interest.

"Agreed. You don't sound like a Gunmetal girl, but hives all share certain things, and I understand you do what you have to sometimes, to make sure tomorrow still comes. And after all, I don't have much left to take. Except my guns. Touch those and the only thing I can promise you is that it'll be over with quickly. I don't mean to be unpleasant - just laying the tarot out on the table."

He looked around at all assembled - two Sisters, two two-bit hivers, an Arbite, and a rather fleshy tech-priest. All things considered, at least the tale any survivors told would make a good joke.

Kloe was getting slightly worried about the conversation that was taking place. Shouldn't the Arbites be outraged at being associated with a lawbreaker? She should say something of they'll think she was awkward or something.

"Well I for one will not hold it against you if you have committed misdemeanors in your life. Repentance is a sure way to the forgiveness of the Emperor, and your participation in a holy mission like ours will go a long way towards being a valuable member of society."

That sounded so fancy and pious. Prioress Lea would have been proud of her.

She smiles innocently. "I won't take anything I shouldn't, promise." The furtive glance she gave the gunslinger though, showed that his threat had hit home and that his guns were likely safe.

And then Kloe spoke up, and immediately received a withering glare and an annoyed snort from the hiver. "Won't hold it 'gainst me, eh? Really?" She glares at her, eyes looking over the good clothes worn by the Sister.

"I reckon ya always got everything ya needed, yeah? A bed, place to be safe, food, water that won't kill ya?

Dolivar

Seeing Felicia's show of devotion to the Emperor turns one or two of the handful of bells off in his mind. Though still cautious, Dolivar relaxes a slight bit and leans back onto the wall behind him. He didn't even notice how tense he had gotten until now. Taking a deep breath, he relaxes his shoulders and puts his hands back into his jacket's pockets.

Well...if she does mean that, then I can at least rule her out as a fringe cult worshipper of some sort...Okay okay Dolivar, Calm the frak down. They've been asked to be here by an Inquisitor. The Inquisition isn't exactly known to be a bunch of slackers now are they? I'm sure these others have had been thoroughly vetted being being shipped here. Just wait for the Inquisitor and see what the whole deal is.

Awww! And she was so proud of her little speech too. Kloe was starting to wonder if she would be able to become friends with people so rough. Sensing that she was giving up the fight to be a nice person, she gathered herself and tried to control the damage she had done.

"That's like, so not what I meant. I'm really sorry if I hurt your feelings. As Prioress Lea used to say, there is a little of everything in the vine of the Emperor, and I should not have implied that you were a miscreant just because you might have had some problems with the law in the past. I really hope you won't hold it against me."

The door to the room slides open with a hiss. An tall, willowy man in red Mechanicus robes strides in. What little of his dark skin is visible is heavily scarred and his entire jaw seems to be metal. He carries no obvious weapons... though the multi-barreled round lasgun that has replaced his left hand from the wrist down suggests he doesn't need any.

When he speaks his voice is metallic yet oddly singsong-y, as though it was being artificially altered by his bionics. "I am Secutor Designate Zamok. I speak for the Inquisitor-Lord. You will serve the Ordos. You will serve the Imperium. If you die you will be forgotten. If you fail you will be terminated. If you do not think yourself up to the task, vocalize such now". He raises the weapon-hand and it begins to hum with power. "It will be painless, especially compared to what your foes will do".

And then the tech priest came in, and bought the threat of death. Dolivar appeared to be the most heavily armoured in the room, and in the blink of an eye, the street waif was behind him, peering over his shoulder.

Secutor...that's probably above a Tech-Priest's grade...right? Throne, he works for the Inquisitor and that's way above you already you idiot...now how the hell do you form it...

As Zamok introduces himself and affirms his own suspicion in that they'll have no choice but to obey the commands of the Inquisition, Dolivar fans his hands in front of himself in an attempt to form the Cog Mechanicum. If he does recall correctly, it's what his texts had indicated to be the Mechanicus' verson of the Aquila greeting. Since he had seen it performed only once in his classes years back in the Schola, Dolivar hopes that his approximation should at least be sufficient in conveying the proper respects.

Jostled slightly by Felicia's attempt to hide behind him, he quickly glares at her, whispering harshly, "Keep your hands to yourself got it?" Quickly resuming to face the Secutor Designate while covering Felicia, he bows his head in acquiescence.

"It would be my honour to be seconded from the Adeptus Arbites to serve the Inquisition."

That cold, crawling feeling Justinia gets every time she knows something she shouldn't know is back again. Secutor. An ultra-militant Magos studying the science of war above all others. That's a fully-automatic lasblaster, integrated with his potentia coil for effectively unlimited usage. At this range, we'd all be dead in seconds. "Of course, Secutor. I stand ready to assist in whatever capacity I am able".

Secutor Zamok is evidently satisfied with the acolytes' responses and lowers his weapon as the humming dies away. "Excellent. Know the rewards of service to the Inquisition are greater than you could possibly comprehend. Crimes, mistakes, even madness - all of these can be wiped away through faithful service".

The tech-priest strides over to the massive window and gestures outward. "Do you see that? That speck in the void? It is a space hulk which we have codenamed Twilight. It emerged from the Warp mere days ago well within the boundaries of this system. At present speed it will collide with the planet below in 17 hours. You are going aboard before that happens".

Dolivar slowly lets out a breath that he didn't know he was holding once the Secutor lowered his potent weapon arm. Taking but a cursory look into the void outside of the window, Dolivar resumes his observation of their intermediary.

He must have some high end optical augments if he can pick out something like that in the void...

"And what is our mission? Are we to stop it from destroying the world?" he asks somewhat incredulously. Looking at those around him, he really doubts that they have the technical ability required to accomplish such a feat.

"No. Battlefleet Calixis will destroy it before it reaches the planet. They would have done so already has we not demanded they hold. You see, we detected a signal emanating from the hulk when it appeared. A distress signal, matching the encoded signs of Ordo Malleus Inquisitor Adorjin. She has been missing for over 600 years".

The tech-priest pauses to let that sink in. "While it is unlikely she is still alive, nothing is impossible when the Immaterium is involved. Detailed scans of the interior of the hulk are impossible due to Warp interference. You will enter the Twilight. You will locate the Inquisitor, or her remains, and retrieve any artifacts in her possession. Specifically, she kept a sanctified power sword known as the Luminous Reproach that she requisitioned from the vaults of Bastion Serpentis before her disappearance. Such a powerful relic must be returned to the Inquisition for safekeeping. You will do this within 17 hours before the Battlefleet destroys the space hulk, possibly with you on it".

He stares blankly at the party, raising one cyber-mesh eyebrow. "I stand ready to answer any queries you may have".

The street waif splutters a little as she works on framing thoughts. She was tough, scrappy, a survivor who'd lived through gang wars and the hostile environment of the lower hive, but she had still been plucked from a world she knew and placed in the void, a region that was the purview of whispered ghost stories and horrors beyond imagining.

And now they were to stop onto a place fill of evil, devouring ghosts and slumbering monsters? Still, there was one thing she feared more then the monsters and a representative of it was in this very room.

She resigned herself to knowing she was going on the hulk, survivor instincts coming forward again. You accepted what you couldn't change and made the most of it.

Survival meant bringing back this sword to hand over and in being able to rely on her travelling companions. She'd often relied on more combat capable men and women to safeguard her, so...

She gives Dolivar a slightly sly smile, given he's the one she's nearest to. "I have good eyes. I'll keep them watching for ya ad the others when we go there, help spot any bad stuff."

She glances at the tech priest, looks to Dolivar as if seeking moral support and then back to the Secutor. "Uh, sir. How are we gonna be able to find her?"

Kloe was so psyched at how awesome their mission sounded that she thought she was gonna faint. A lost Inquisitor. A Space Hulk. A Blessed Sword. Talk about high-level. Prioress Lea really did not know what she was talking about when she told her this was going to be boring.

Kloe decided to try and sound smart by asking possibly relevant questions:

"Do we know what she was looking for on the Space Hulk? Was she alone when she boarded it? What is her reputation in the Inquisition? About the Space Hulk, do we have any idea about what could be on it? Also, do we know her precise location, and how far is she from the closest point of entry into the ship?"

That was all she could think about right now.

The Secutor seems almost taken-aback by Felicia's question. "The... Inqusition has employed numerous methods to attempt to triangulate the exact origin of the signal with some success. We believe it to be coming from a point near the center of the hulk; estimates suggest 5 hours of travel time from the nearest entry point. Assuming, of course, that you encounter minimal resistance and are able to locate an unobstructed pathway to the location".

He turns to the Sister and begins manipulating some controls near the connecting point of his lasblaster. "She was a psyker and a Daemonhunter of no small renown. This was her last transmission before disappearing... " The Secutor finishes and a woman's voice begins to speak, "I’ve found him at last. His reckoning is long overdue. How fitting that it should end near exactly where it began".

The playback ends and he resumes speaking. "We do not know to whom she was referring. However, she boarded the hulk alone and without her acolytes. They were later slain during an unrelated incident but claimed to have never heard from her again".

Dolivar

Dolivar raises an eyebrow at Felicia as she makes her sly comment. If the Inquisition is any good at what they do, and they are, then hopefully they've made the right call in recruiting the young hiver. That said, he's seen his share of boastful recruits during his Schola days. Until he's seen her in action, he'll reserve his judgement and take the cautionary route of relying on himself first and foremost. Concentrating once more on their handler, he continues their line of inquiry.

"Will we be given any equipment in our search? And are we the only ones that will be sent into this massive space hulk...Twilight? We're not exactly dressed and equipped for hostile environs Secutor. Sets of void suits at the least would be much appreciated."

If Dolivar remembered his studies, and in this respect he definitely does, Space Hulks are but random amalgamation of ships and debris lost in the warp. The structural integrity of the ships as well as the possible damages and effects of the empyrean could have easily changed the atmosphere inside...not to mention the possible adversaries that await their arrival. Sigh...at least death by lasblaster would have been quick. Well too late now. They've vouched for their commitment to the Inquisition's task.

"Come". With that single word the Secutor strides for the door, red robes sweeping behind him. He leads you through the mass of merchants and voidsmen, walking down the middle of the corridors. The crowds part 10 feet in every direction at his approach and you make excellent time following in his wake. Make a -10 Awareness OR +0 Common Lore (Imperial Navy) test here.
Justinia's Common Lore (Imperial Navy) test v. 40" [roll0]

The room he leads you to is clearly a storeroom of some kind. Shelves laden with various devices and lockers filled with equipment cover every inch of the walls. The Secutor points to a pile of gear neatly arranged on a table. "Void suits. Auspexes. Chronos synched to the bombardment. Experimental micro-beads that may cut through the Warp interference. This will be provided to you. You may take whatever else you wish from this room as well. I would advise you ensure that you are well-armed and prepared for combat in tight corridors".
Everyone gains a void-suit, a chrono ticking down to zero hour, and a micro-bead. Anyone who wants to can grab an auspex as well. The suits have attached lamps but you can grab a handheld one if you want to be extra careful. There's also virtually any basic weapon (shotguns, lasrifles, autoguns, etc.) and appropriate ammo for them.

Nic follows behind the secutor, his eyes constantly darting around - a habit from the hives he'll likely never break.

VS Awareness 40 - 10: [roll0]

He can't help but smile ear to ear when they reach the room with all the hardware. A bit light on sidearms, but bullets were bullets, and they had auspexes as well. He grabbed up the standard-issue gear as they were briefed.

"I've no problem with close quarters. This flak looks a little bulky for that void suit. I guess I'll have to make do."

He's going to grab up a whole bunch of bullets (five or six reloads) and an auspex.

Walking through the corridors, Kloe tried to stay alert to pick up anything that might happen, but she was so eager to get to their mission that this was a hard task.

In complement of all the shiny new things they were given, she decided to take an additional lascarbine charge pack. No one had told them that there would be enemies on this ship, but she would not find herself unprepared if she could prevent it.

Felicia keeps herself in the middle of the group as they advance, alert eyes checking the unfamiliar corridors and halls as she tries to make heads or trails of it all.

Awareness: [roll0]

Once in the room she nabs a light, chrono and void suit, the latter of which is eyed with some confusion as she tries making heads or tails of it. She settles for scooping up a shotgun and several packs of shells to reload it, and manages to scavenge a few basic pieces of armour.

Dolivar

Exiting without another word, Dolivar moves through the station alongside the others. Seeing the countless merchants and other citizens of the Imperium around them, he carefully scrutinizes their surroundings.

Perception TN 30 (40-10): [roll0]
Entering the armoury of sorts, he quickly begins to check on the materiel provided to them.

So these are the perks working for the Inquisition...

Equipping himself with a fitting void-suit with an attached lamp, an extra chrono sync'ed to the bombardment, a micro-bead as well as an auspex in the case one of the others fail on them, he begins packing the items into the various pockets on his person. In addition, he gets his hands on one of the shotguns from one of the cabinets. Expertly checking the chamber, the trigger and slide action of the weapon, he proceeds to load it and pocket additional shells.

"And I was feeling like less of an Arbite without a trusty shotgun in hand. It's been awhile....mmm since I lost one during that fight..."

Dolivar begins somewhat excitedly before dropping into a brief reverie. Shaking it off, he tries to look around to see if there are any additional accessories in the room that would come in handy for the upcoming assignment. His eyes lighting up like a kid in a candy shop.

Offhandedly he inquires Zamok on his earlier observation as he racks a shell into his shotgun's chamber, "Secutor, is there any reason to the increased Naval personnel and Imperial Guard presence on this station?"

Well, if they're just going to throw all of this free stuff at them, it'd be rude to pass up on anything useful, right Lise? Let's grab maybe two extra charge packs, an auspex, and maybe trade up that carbine for a proper Lasrifle. Someone back on the fleet might object to his surrendering of the carbine, but they're not here, right? And besides, the Inquisition's coffers is as safe a place as any for such an item while he's away, right? Nothing to worry about.

"Extra personnel?" Lise repeats, questioning the Arbite. Lise certainly doesn't see any extra personnel (Not unless I miraculously make this roll, he doesn't)! Of course, he doesn't know what the standard quantity is for non-AdMech vessels, so hey, maybe this is more squishy meat-people than is traditional!

Seeing that everyone except her was taking an auspex, Kloe decided it was no time to be shy and to take one too. She sort of knew how to operate one, and it might be useful to know what was happening behind a wall.

At that point, she heard Dolivar make a comment about the high number of Navy and Imperial Guard personnel in the station. She did not think it that strange, after all they were going to blow a Space Hulk out of the sky.

Seeing a huge stack of Flak Jackets, she thought she could wear that under her breastplate. Her arms and legs felt pretty naked.
