Is there any way to avoid attacks of opportunity when jumping near an apponant. also I would love to see some feats to enhance jump fighting

Use the Tumble skill (it works with a jump).

Feats you might be interested in are Leap Attack and Battle Jump. If you're interested in jump fighting, looking into the swordsage and warblade classes from Tome of Battle is probably worthwhile. Pay special attention to the Tiger Claw discipline.

Yeah tumble is pretty much what you want.

For Feats Battlejump (for damage if you attack opponent from above), Leap Attack (more Power Attack damage if you jump 10ft during the charge), Leap of Heavens (always count running even if you didn't and +4 if you run), Martial Stance (Leaping Dragon Stance) (+10 jump and always count as running)

Also one pretty hilarious thing is to completely dump your movementspeed and focus on jumping very high (maximize jump) ... for example you have the slow flaw on a halfling -> 10ft movement ... then you jump up 12 ft (dc 48) ... you can just move 10ft so you are there for one round before moving the remaining 2 ft next round and falling to the ground again.
