Help Making a Lycantrope

Hello Playground,

In an upcoming campaign all of the players will be some sort of were-thing. There are a couple of house rules that I should mention before hand.

1. All the PC's will be natural, and also will have ZERO la.

2. We still have the animal HD though. Every time we level, we will get to retrain one of them.

We are starting at lvl 6, and my stats are 18, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10.

I was hoping that the playground could help me decide what type of lycantrope to choose. I want to play something ranged perferably. Whether that be caster or archer. I want to optimize for fun. All suggestions are welcome.

You should do what I did & be a Chaotic Good Dire Werewolf Swordsage with Vow of Poverty. I think on my shifted form I had like +40ish to Strength alone? Idk, have fun, punch things. If you want to go a different route, I believe making a Rogue Werewolf would be kinda fun due to bonuses to sneaking if I recall correctly...

You could try an aquatic animal like a shark,octopus, or crocodile. it's something I've always wanted to try and you don't see them that often.

The Serval from Sandstorm gets +2 Str +6 Dex +2 Con and a few skill boni all for a single animal hd. No bonus feats though.

my favorite critter for lycanthropy is probably always going to be the Boar and any related critters because of Ferocity.
