Is there a way to become a Warforged?

Starting a new campaign and were now allowed to craft. Was thinking of making a character that slowly changed his body into a warforged/cyborg/hybrid. Starting with an artificer from eberron and then becoming a flesh grafter (the book from which its from escapes me).

I still have to do the research but until i can remember what book the grafter is from, i'm stuck in a rut.

Was also curious if anyone has tried something like this or has some tips for this.

Flesh warper is in Lords of Madness.

However, there's a feat in faiths of eberron that allows you to create and apply warforged grafts that probably suits your concept better.
