Have you tried our very own PbP subforum (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=3)?

Honestly I did, it just felt very disorganized and sort of mad rush.

That is not an inaccurate description, though I'm not sure how it's really any different elsewhere. Quieter, perhaps.

Have you tried Myth-weaver's forums? They're pretty quiet. Slower paced really, if such a term can be applied to PbP.

guess I mean, the posts at least for me, seem hard to follow, and the threads moves about quickly. Think its my own handicap more then this sights, not enough sub forums and such.

If you subscribe to threads, they're always available via your user CP. If you're really at a loss, then google site:giantitp.com will do the trick, too.

Step 1: start a google group dedicated to your game, and configure the message board that comes with the group to have seperate discussion categories for in character and OOC postings, ala Forum style. Invite your players to join.

Step 2: (Optional) Set up a google sites page dedicated to your game. Use the gadgets tools to link your google group's forum style message boards into your google site. Set up a file upload page so you can post files (maps, house rules, etc.) for your players to download.

Step 3: EVIL! er...I mean GAMING!

(Kind of like THIS (https://sites.google.com/site/amberdrpg/home). Note you won't see the posting threads unless your a member of the group)

Myth-Weavers (www.myth-weavers.com); since the site is geared specifically towards PbP (unlike a regular forum that has PbP stapled onto it somewhere), it offers incredible tools to facilitate PbP gaming (e.g. integrated dice roller, private text, a very good system for game ads,...).

RolePlayOnline: http://www.rpol.net

For D&D 3.5 in Forgotten Realms specifically search for Realms Of Adventure (ROA).

There's a few things that make the climate on here unsuited. First of all, most of the recruitment threads are either "Someone run this highly specific game according to my wishes!" or "Please run a game for me, I don't care what kind!". In my experience, a game that the GM has not started himself will have a low survival chance.

Second, people on here don't stick with their games, they abandon them really quickly. It's slightly better on other sites.

That said, it's been ages since I've had a good PbP game anywhere, even on dedicated sites. I don't know what happend, but I had games that lasted for years, with a dozen posts per day.

ROA has been around for years, and has a dedicated core of reliable players and DM's.

Paizo.com works really well for pbp, partly because they have a large community, partly because their board has a bunch of built-in features to make pbping easier. You'll find more people who are playing pathfinder there than 3.5, but they are really so similar that it shouldn't be a big deal.
