With all the VoP threads going around lately, I was wondering how VoP would interact with imaginary WBL.

To clarify imaginary WBL: when you gain a level you gain the appropriate amount of imaginary gold. You can spend this to buy imaginary gear. You get the full benefits of the gear but it isn't actually equipped and you don't actually own it. Imagine enchanting your body. Of course you still get real money during your adventures which you can spend on consumables and mundane equipment.

So how would this interact with VoP? Anyone tried this or thought about it?

My first instinct is no. Followed by No. And then a slower noooo. Then a confident no.

The entire point of VOP is to remove WBL. However I could imagine a fix based around that concept with reduced VOP bonuses [like a few set bonuses, but you can 'buy' a +X natural armour].

Hmm, I'm very glad you linked this. So not use imaginary WBL and VoP, but rather make VoP the imaginary WBL! Interesting. Thank you.

I'd say "workable, but inelegant." At least inelegant for those who (like me) would love to be able to just slap VoP on a character and not have to worry about spending an hour buying gear. On the other hand, you will be pretty well balanced against those with "real" WBL-- you can't lose your stuff, but you can't change it out as easily.
