So, I started a new campaign with a couple of cousins. They have little idea about what kind of creatures exist in D&D. I placed a level 2 Dwarf Kight as their first ''boss,'' (also a changeling rogue who gave them a bad time over the sewers).

I don't know what to place them in front so it doesn't kill them so easily and they learn about the crits in the game, but not so hard to kill.

I though about a couple of rogue tibbits in a surprise attack on an alleyway.

My players are level 2, there is a sorcerer, a ranger and a rogue.

Ideas?

The Bugbear Zombie makes a snazzy BBEG. Its supposedly CR2, but it is really durable, but dosen't hit all that hard. They can probably outmove it and smash it up. But it serves as a dangerous element of the field. Two of them are super scary if they close on someone. It's DR is also fun.

Enjoy it.

Or you can straight up murder them by googling, That Damn Crab.
