Question for the playground.

I've heard before of wondrous architecture capable of granting item creation feats, I however can't seem to find any [except for the Dwarf only Craft Magic Arms and Armour], could anyone direct me to the right books, or laugh and tell me they don't exist and I've misheard.

Thanks in advance.

Stronghold Builder's Guidebook has the most wondrous architecture. Google and ye shall find.

however, granting feats? Not to my knowledge. maybe in an RPGA module or something of the sort.

I have seen people mention such things, but don't remember specifically where. A stationary item that grants you a basic creation feat should cost 5000 GP though... Consider that an item that you carry costs 10,000 gp to grant you a feat, and a stationary object is half value (I think that is how the strongholders guide did it- correct me if Im wrong!). So....

Azer Workshop: This workshop was designed by the master smiths of the azer to allow their slaves to craft lesser items. Any creature crafting a weapon or suit of armor in the workshop is treated as if they had the Craft Magic Arms and Armor feat. Skill checks must be made as normal to craft the item, and all special materials, spells, and gold must be utilized as normal to craft a specific magical item.
Price: 5,000/ Cost: 2,500 GP + X xp (not trying to figure that out!)/ Prerequisites: Cl ?th, craft wondrous items, craft magic arms and armor, greater magic weapon, fabricate.

Merry Christmas!

Wondrous Architecture is just like Wondrous Items except that when it's immovable it can cost half as much, give or take.

Magic Items that Grant Feats is a sidebar in the Arms and Equipment Guide which puts the price of non-numerical feats in items at 10,000gp each plus 5,000gp per prerequisite.

All of the above is 3.0 material which wasn't updated for 3.5 and it's also mostly Custom-Magic-ask-your-DM territory.

These lists may also be what you're looking for.

Hope some of that helps.

PS. For our games, on recommendation of the Playground, feat granting wondrous architecture still requires you to qualify for the feat before it'll let you access it. No commoners crafting +5 greatswords.

Yep, here it is. Thank you unseenmage.
I'll have to lay my hands on the Arms and Equipment guide and do some begging, but it's what I'm looking for, so thanks.

No problem.
I recently built a Craft Temple to Gond (Faerunian god of crafting) that has one room for each craft skill each granting a +10 competence bonus, and another room that grants every Item creation feat. So I had the info fairly to hand.

If you figure out the difference in price between a feat-granting-item that exempts it's user from prerequisites and a feat-granting-item that still requires it's user to meet the prerequisites I'd love to know.

There is the Forge of Thautam in Races of Stone. It allows the dwarf working the forge to create magic weapons and armor as if he had the Craft Magic Arms and Armor feat.

Gremma's Cauldron in Expedition to Undermountain grants Brew Potion. It also does a lot of other wacky stuff... see this post (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8235923&postcount=6) for more details.
